Muslims are required to read the Quranic in Arabic in ritualistic/worship context. To be a scholar, Arabic grammar is a first requirement. To understand the bible, Greek/Hebrew is a requirement. Ministers are trained in those languages. Better understanding of the text than average christians.

This is pretty common. Most Muslims don't actually think about their religion in any serious way, because they're raised not to do so. When we were kids, none of us spoke Arabic, but we were taught to mindlessly sound out Arabic for Quran recitation purposes, because sounding...

If there was ever a moment for libertarians and conservatives to step up and join the rest of us, we’re in it. Americans have to unite and stop this descent from a freedom-loving nation into the kind of place where masked, militarized government agents are sent to politically noncompliant areas to roam the streets, terrorize civilians, and deploy violence with impunity.

A fun show would be to put some MAGA influencers in a hotel with no internet for a few days. Then you tell them that Trump has done various crazy things, some real, some not, and we see how well they can come up with rationalizations for why those things were all GENIUS MOVES.

This is not how Gen Z writes text messages. Notice, everything you need to prosecute is right there for you. All laid out. How convenient. The writing has the surface markers of someone aged 18–26 (slang, uwu, idk), but the style and inconsistencies suggest it could be an older writer imitating that demographic. If that’s the case, they’re likely 30s–40s, aware of internet culture, but not a native to it. If this were truly a Gen Z/early Millennial, you’d expect shorter, snappier, less self-incriminating texts. The blend of meme-slang and formal over-explaining suggests someone older (30s–40s) who is familiar with youth culture but not fully fluent.

Maybe what it’s actually time to do, in the battle of good against evil, is dismantle the Rage Economy — the one where we pay greedy but unimpressive people to keep us in a perpetual state of anger they pretend is righteous but really just lines their own pockets.

These days, “I’m not a political person” means “I’m not plugged into a network that translates every event immediately into partisan or ideological talking points”, and it’s the better way to go
