@TakoTreba @Airbnb This is why you always plan for your peace and convenience first. Airbnb cancelled by host last minute? Book a hotel, get some rest and deal with it all later. Get comfortable first then handle all the insurance and bureaucracy.

On Sunday evening, I had the worst experience I’ve ever had with @Airbnb. A few hours before arriving in Hamburg for OMR, a conference that brings more than 70,000 people to the city, my booking was suddenly cancelled. I immediately contacted customer support, expecting them to help me find another place. Instead, they told me they couldn’t assist because “Airbnb didn’t cancel your booking, the host did.” Excuse me? This happened around 11 PM. I spent the entire night on calls with customer support and did not sleep at all. At around 1 AM, things got even worse. I received a message saying I was no longer allowed to make bookings on Airbnb because my account had been flagged as potentially dangerous. I honestly couldn’t believe what was happening. I was traveling with my three-month-old baby. I explained that multiple times. It made no difference. No meaningful help. No travel credits. My account was blocked. And by the time I arrived in Hamburg, I had to scramble to find a hotel on my own. The ironic part? There was no AI involved in this experience. Only humans following scripts and passing me from one person to another. And, Brian, I genuinely wish I had been dealing with AI instead. It would have been faster, more logical, and probably far more empathetic than the people I spoke with that night. What shocked me most was realizing how few real alternatives there are to Airbnb. At midnight I was completely on my own trying to solve a problem that should never have happened in the first place. Worst customer experience I’ve had in years.

@benhylak The ChatGPT interface doesn’t work for this. We’ve already tried it.

gpt-image-2 will turn your feature releases into... merch? Here's @framer's "make a 16:9 image of some models wearing dope limited edition shirts and merch based off recent framer releases. multiple images, use framer.com/updates as reference. images should look like they're shot on film for an editorial streetwear lifestyle fashion shoot, flash photography."

There are only two things that matter for making any dream a reality: The last thing and the next thing. The dream itself is the last thing. It has to be crystal clear and deeply aligned with who you are at your core. It has to feel visceral when you imagine it happening. And the dream has to be in service of something greater than yourself. Otherwise, you won't be able to force yourself to keep going when it gets hard. Discipline and motivation eventually run out. The only sustainable fuel when they subside is devotion. And devotion is the result of alignment with your purpose. Once the dream is aligned and crystallized, the only thing that matters is the next right action. Ask yourself: What is the single action that, if I wake up and do every single day, compounded over years, makes the dream outcome inevitable? The trap is thinking we need to think ten steps ahead. But that's just our rational mind trying to cling to the illusion of our control. The next right action will yield the next. It will be obvious. Yet we spend so much time and energy living somewhere between the two. We endlessly plan for scenarios and mitigate risks that might happen in a year or five. It feels productive, but it's the ultimate circle jerk. 1. Hold the dream. 2. Take the next right action. Let the middle reveal itself.
