@nethylol Resetting mmr is a bandaid solution that virtually does nothing except lets you play some games versus lower rated players. The real issues lies in the fact that there is no incentive for higher mmr people to que the game before 2 weeks before season ends.

@Foxyllama11 I think haste should either be removed entirely or it should only affect cast times and not globals. Feels so bad playing rsham with 4-5 % haste compared to ele or affli for instance with 30+% haste. All classes should have same global cd

@ralecgos @cdew_wow 0 resources is apportioned to retail pvp. So while plunder may not have required a large amount of resources, that amount would have been 10x better spent on retail pvp.

Am I crazy to think people reacting negatively to this one button rotation are crazy/content farming for reactions? It’s gonna be released, affect no one negatively, and will be forgetting about 24 hours after the patch.

I'm not saying it's a huge loss but it is definitely enough to have people asking questions. Anyway this is all hypothetical, all I'm saying is something more than a YT video is required for change.

Hot take: high end PvP streamers should do more to utilise their platform to effect positive change in PvP.

@prewallkidney @tylerrisgood @leekatv How did you get this number? Using your numbers, losing 8% of pvp players would result in a SUB-income loss of 520,000 Per month? Per quarter that would be 1.5 million. Microsoft reported 24.1 billion in net income for 2025 Q2, so the effect would be 0,006%

@themanhimself75 @tylerrisgood @leekatv Its roughly half a million players based on a current sub base of 7.25m and an approx 7% of that engaged in PvP (recent polling I'd seen, can't remember where). That's 5m in subs alone per month, let alone any potential revenue from those accounts through the shop (their focus).

@prewallkidney @tylerrisgood @leekatv I completely agree with you, but a pvp-related earning loss wouldnt even be noticeable for Microsoft stakeholders even if it was magnified by x1000 - so the only actual implication would be reputation damage, which I think could have a great impact.

@tylerrisgood @leekatv And if they do, so be it. Their shareholders will be asking questions when the revenue begins to drop. I don't think you realise that even a 7-8% (approx % of playerbase that PvP) earnings loss would cause alarm bells to ring.

@ElliottVenczel Overall, with mmr inflation, and half a year seasons, end-of-season rewards is just a terrible system that does the opposite of driving participation up imo. There needs to be a reason to play the game for the first 5 months of a season.

I realize it’s a problem for a small portion of the community but I really think end of season title spots shouldn’t be based off participation. Having so few ‘named’ Gladiator spots causes serious problems where only the Giga S tier specs/comps have a shot at a title.
