I’ve been fascinated by virtual worlds for 20+ years, and now the tools exist for a solo developer to accomplish something meaningful. The first world will be a city environment - Grok has suggested “Echo City” as a working name. My main interest is exploring interactions between players and NPCs driven by advanced AI. Can't Make It Up: SCOTUS Justice KBJ Calls for Impartiality… While Appearing on Michelle O's Podcast | Bob Hoge, RedState Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson isn’t exactly known for her neutrality — quite the opposite, actually. She’s infamous for using emotional arguments in her decisions and for her long-winded, loaded questions. As our Sister Toldjah reported in 2025, she often gets under the skin of even the other justices. “We will not dwell on Justice Jackson’s argument, which is at odds with more than two centuries worth of precedent, not to mention the Constitution itself,” Barrett wrote about Jackson’s musings regarding a birthright citizen case. Barrett’s not the only justice who gets frustrated by KBJ’s “reasoning." Clarence Thomas seethed at her in 2023 for her “race-infused world view,” while Samuel Alito deemed one of her dissents “baseless and insulting” and said her rhetoric “lacks restraint.” All this and more is why it’s somewhat jarring to see her talking about the importance of impartiality on a podcast hosted by none other than that Democrat deity, former First Lady Michelle Obama. How clueless is KBJ? How could she not know that this makes her look highly partisan and biased? During her appearance on Mrs. Obama and her brother’s podcast, IMO with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson, which debuted Wednesday but was recorded in May, some of her comments were laugh-out-loud funny as they were so completely out of touch with the reality that we see from her in virtually every decision. During an appearance of more than an hour on the podcast, Jackson, a Biden appointee to the Supreme Court, stressed the importance of being unbiased, saying, "You really have to be focused on that." "There are lots of limits on what judges can do, and I try to be very, very mindful and scrupulous with respect to that because, as you say, our obligation is to be unbiased in our approach," said Jackson. "And, so, you have to then navigate all the sources that could make for an appearance of partiality, which you want to avoid." Even the title of the episode is insulting: “Move Through the Hard Times With Ketanji Brown Jackson.” It makes it sound like KBJ is a down-on-her-luck lady living on the margins, not someone who was awarded a seat on the highest court in the land. ... Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson can't be real. She says it is important to be neutral as a Supreme Court justice........while she is literally on MAJOR leftist Michelle Obama's podcast. Make it make sense. Minnesota Dem Mayor Kaohly Her accused of sending vulgar text about ‘a good weinering’ to city staffer | Chris Bradford, New York Post A Democratic mayor in Minnesota is being investigated for sexual harassment after she allegedly sent nauseating text messages to staffers — including one about getting a “good weinering.” Kaohly Her, the first female mayor of Saint Paul, is being probed just six months into her term after the police chief, Axel Henry, filed a formal complaint with the city attorney on April 1, alleging that she sent “inappropriate, and indeed, unlawful text messages” to city staffers. In one disturbing chain of texts, Her, 53, wished a staffer “Happy Weiner Wednesday,” according to the complaint obtained by KSTP. “Wish I was having a [hotdog emoji] with you all on 6 today,” the text continued. The mayor then allegedly sent an altered image of a baby wrapped in a blanket, along with the message, “When she wraps you up in her blanket after you gave her a good weinering.” The face of the baby in the altered image was redacted in the complaint; however, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported that it was the face of an officer who had previously worked as part of her security team. While the term “weiner” can refer to hot dogs, it also has sexual connotations. “The city is on notice that Mayor Her has engaged in illegal conduct towards City employees,” Henry’s lawyer Chris Madel wrote in the complaint, sent to Saint Paul City Attorney Irene Kao. Madel called for a “full filesystem extraction” of the cell phones. Henry, who was named police chief in November 2022, filed the complaint after receiving reports that the pol’s alleged behavior “extended beyond isolated incidents and has included sexual harassment of subordinate City employees, including members of the Saint Paul Police Department,” the letter states. “In choosing to act, Chief Henry is not only seeking to address the wrongdoing but to create a measure of protection for his team, signaling that such conduct will not be tolerated,” it concludes. The mayor’s office said they wouldn’t comment on an “active investigation.” “The mayor has deep respect for city employees and regrets any unintended impact her actions may have had,” a spokesperson said in a statement to KSTP. This Friday, July 31st, the Trump administration is poised to let a contract providing legal services to unaccompanied children expire. More than 20,000 young children are going to be forced to navigate the extraordinarily complex American immigration system completely alone. Many of them will be continue in gov't custody for long periods of time, and many will be sent back to the dangerous circumstances they are trying to flee. I’m asking all of my Republican colleagues, and the senior officials in the Trump administration: let's end this madness. Pay the orgs helping these kids, renew the contract, and quit play games with the lives of the most vulnerable.

As much as we talk about the filibuster, I'm really surprised how few people actually understand the way it works.

🇺🇸 THE MYSTERIOUS FILIBUSTER! - As much as we talk about the filibuster, few people actually understand it. Under filibuster rules you don't need 60 votes to pass legislation. You need 60 votes to get to cloture, which means you can then vote on the legislation. Right now with the SAVE America Act we have 51 votes. We have enough votes to pass the legislation but we can't get to cloture because we can't get enough Democrats to cross the aisle to get to 60 votes. Of course Democrats don't want election integrity. We talk about the nuclear option, thinking that this means the Senate will vote to end the filibuster rule. That's not what it means. Actually achieving cloture to vote to end the filibuster rule would require a two-thirds Senate vote. And that's impossible. What is possible is when you bring up the SAVE America Act for a cloture vote and you only get 51 out of the 60 required, a senator can then raise a point of order saying that "cloture on this bill should only need a simple majority." The chair would rule against him, backed up by the parliamentarian. That senator can then appeal and the question becomes, "shall the decision of the chair stand?" The Senate then votes on that appeal and if 51 senators vote to overrule the chair then the vote on the SAVE America Act can take place. Yes this is a tortured way of doing things but that's "the nuclear option." Harry Reid did it in 2013 on federal judges and Mitch McConnell did it in 2017 on Supreme Court judges. But again the problem we have now is: do we have enough Senators to get to 51 to do the nuclear option? According to John Thune we don't. Thoughts? ⬇️
