GETTING OLDER
You know, as I get older and am in my supposed “golden years,” I think about my mortality. I always have, flying for a living, but now I think about it a lot more. Not because there’s any sort of impending doom, but because I think it’s a natural part of the aging and maturation process.
So, as I reflect back on my 70 years so far, I can’t help but see how obviously blessed I have been. I’ve lived hard, I’ve worked hard, but that can’t fully explain somebody’s life.
I’ve done a lot, I’ve seen a lot of seen things wonderful and horrific. I’ve loved and I’ve lost, like all of us. But I’m blessed.🙏✝️
All I want to hear at the end is “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Until then, live hard, pray hard, and love hard.
How about you?

Sometimes I feel like a ghost in the room.
Present, but unseen.
Speaking, but unheard.
Standing beside people, yet somehow invisible.
But ghosts don’t leave footprints. I do.
Ghosts don’t keep fighting. I do.
Ghosts don’t choose to get back up every day. I do.
Maybe I’m not invisible.
Maybe I’m just waiting for the people who actually see me.
If you’ve ever felt like a ghost too, I want you to know something.
I see you.

Goodnight, America.
Don’t forget our brave men and women out there kicking ass to help keep the world safer. While they’re standing the watch, let’s do our part here at home. Be better, work harder, help your neighbor, and make this country worth fighting for.
Sleep well. God bless our troops, and God bless America.
