While the industry is pouring resources into programs without GC (rust), I think the Jane Street OCaml folks have it figured out with OxCaml.
Almost all your code paths are cold and GC is net positive. 1% of your code is performance sensitive. Don't create GC pressure there.

A Hungarian Steam fan was pretty mad when his brand-new Steam Controller got mistakenly shipped to the UK instead of his home. After he reached out to support, Valve quickly apologized, explained that the mix-up had hit only a small batch of packages, and rushed to fix the delivery. To make up for the hassle, they let him pick any standard Steam game he wanted. He chose Forza Horizon 6 (worth around 70€) and now he’s a lifelong Valve fan.

My grandmother called the police on me because I stopped talking to her for repeatedly referring to me as "he" in a voicemail. The cops showed up and we talked for like 60 seconds and he told us to go to court and get a no contact order so actions have consequences I guess
