There were some legitimate concerns people raised about certain games—Concord and a few others are fair examples. But once people saw how much engagement that kind of criticism was getting, things shifted. Now a lot of accounts that used to cover gaming, comics, and movies have basically turned into outrage machines—going out of their way to jump through hoops just to tear things down instead of actually discussing them.

X really need to do something about the negativity farming on this platform. this whole platform is turning is groups just chasing the latest "Oh were hating this new thing today" trends it is really getting tiresome an just make the platform exhausting to even use.

Marathon is in a death spiral. Week to week, peak players are dropped by over 10k players, and when numbers are this low, they cannot afford to bleed any more players. Add to that where Paul Tassi said that most of the Marathon players are on PC, these numbers are apocalyptic for a game that cost over $200 million to produce and develop... It means that these steam numbers are the main story... not some hidden console numbers. Aside from game sales, the revenue stream relies on microtransactions within the game's shop. MTX with only 50k peak players is not enough for a game of this scale and budget. These declining numbers lead to the "social proof" effect, which makes whales hesitant when it comes to their purchases. Bungie needs a miracle, some patch that fixes all of the glaring issues... but let's face it... People are just not interested in hardcore extraction shooters, while getting a visual migraine from the effects and colors.

neither does this one it just shows you know absolutely nothing about what you are talking about cause literally every chart for almost every game that has ever existed looks like that. the only exception that comes to mind would be something like cyberpunk that had a huge redemption about a year or 2 after its disastrous launch

@HayateUesugi @iloveairbagged The chart disagrees. I know this is probably a crazy concept to you, but the numbers don't lie. Not just how the game sucks, but with a lack of fun gameplay mechanics and unappealing character designs really kills the mood of the game.
