After 1 and half years of bragging and running around, this Government brought us into a worst situation. Fuel prices are way more than they met it and prices of goods and food are skyrocketing. General cost of living has gone so high, Citizens are suffocating. This NDC government has succeeded in creating a facade and cover up for their cluelessness. They have succeeded in deflecting the real issues and leading the entire country on the minors while the majors continue to deteriorate. The big question is, the 2nd year is almost ending, how long can this cover up remain? How long would this diversions survive. It’s time for the government to step back, relook at the issues and begin to at least fulfill the basic and simple promises made to the people. Time isn’t man’s friend, and power, is like ice in our hands. #Frakadam

If you are willing to ban the importation of those cars and lose that revenue, why not reduce duties on all car imports and actually enforce DVLA emissions checks so people fix their vehicles if they emit too much smoke? There is already a road levy on every liter of fuel purchased, meaning you could generate even more revenue from roadworthiness fees and fuel levies. You could then channel that revenue into expanding roads, fixing traffic lights, and developing infrastructure to accommodate more vehicles. Isn't this what a primary school student with basic common sense would do?

🚨 FA statement on Chelsea. "A financial sanction of £10 million and a suspended two-window registration ban have been imposed on Chelsea FC for breaches of The Football Association [The FA] Football Agent Regulations, Regulations on Working with Intermediaries and Third Party Investment in Players Regulations.   "The FA charged Chelsea FC with 74 breaches of FA Rule E1.2 after its current ownership self-reported misconduct upon its purchase of the club. The FA is continuing to investigate individual misconduct arising out of this case. "Chelsea FC admitted to the 74 breaches of FA Rule E1.2 prior to a hearing and an independent Regulatory Commission imposed a six-point deduction, which was to be suspended until 30 June 2027, and a £10 million fine.  "The club appealed against the suspended points deduction and an independent Appeal Board allowed the appeal and set aside this sanction following a further hearing. In its place, the Appeal Board imposed a registration ban for two complete and consecutive transfer windows which is suspended until 30 June 2027.  "The £10 million fine imposed by the Regulatory Commission was not subject to appeal and the full amount will be invested into grassroots football."

@kwadwosheldon Honestly speaking, a working country and a high IQ people of the country will not attack or criticize a government for unexpected power outages instead, they will sympathize with the government to get it done for good.

We will continue pushing our advocacy on import duties for cars and data prices. Will need to draft over 1,000 credible posts to sustain the campaign over the long term, while also managing my schedule. So it won’t happen right now. It may take a year or two, but I believe the public outrage in just these few tweets should show the government that people are not happy with what is going on.

If the government truly cares about people importing overage vehicles into Ghana, then why not reduce import duties on vehicles that are less than 5 years old to encourage people to buy newer ones? A country with a minimum wage less than 20ghc a day. How on earth do you genuinely expect that person to afford a car that costs over GH¢250,000? The overage penalty on vehicles is just another greedy tactic to extort people who cannot afford newer models. Government officials enjoy duty free privileges, inflate budgets to enrich themselves, and then impose duties of more than 50% of the value of goods people import into a country that cannot even manufacture cars, electronics, and industrial machinery locally.

@tech_twi They all know that for many young people, being able to afford a car is often assumed to mean you've engaged in fraud. That's exactly why they turn a blind eye to illegal activities instead of tackling the root causes. Too many of these officials aren't here to serve the people
