The Centre’s flagship tourism scheme, Swadesh Darshan 2.0, meant to build sustainable destinations, is moving at a crawl. Three years on, over 84 percent of projects remain below 25 percent completion. Out of 91 projects, only one has crossed 75 percent, and just four have reached the halfway mark. A staggering 77 projects are still in the early stages, reports @theparvezsultan @NewIndianXpress newindianexpress.com/thesundaystand…

To end without a deal is a blow to the fragile hope of finding a way out of the crisis. These talks carried rare weight. They were the highest level engagement between the United States and Iran since the Iranian Revolution. That alone made expectations high and the margin for failure narrow. Much of the real work happened beyond the room. Technical papers were exchanged, reviewed, and revised several times. Yet the divide remained wide, not only on key issues but in how each side approached the process. JD Vance pushed for a quicker outcome, looking to build on a two week ceasefire and move toward resolution. Tehran, by contrast, stayed true to its slower and more deliberate style, preferring to negotiate over time. In the end, it was not just differences in position that stalled progress. It was a deeper gap in pace, priorities, and approach.

A story that paints hope: In a world that often measures strength by physical ability, Jay Gangadia from Ahmedabad is redefining it through resilience, expression, and art. Living with 80% disability due to cerebral palsy, Jay has transformed immense challenges into a remarkable journey of creativity. At just 27, he has created over 500 paintings, each one a vivid reflection of a mind that refuses to be limited by the body, writes @Kshatriyadilip @NewIndianXpress newindianexpress.com/thesundaystand…
