@RealMNchiefsfan I think it's since been reported that Veach's comments about "once Tate was taken" comments were about their models saying it made Delane more likely to go to WAS or NO so they had to jump up for him. Not that Tate was KC's target.

@MitchSchwartz71 I haven't watched him at all because I didn't think they'd have a shot at him. It'll be exciting to take a look at if they do! The whole "versatility!" thing doesn't move the needle for me. If they move for him there, it's gotta be to be a DE.

@thepiecesmatter @RealMNchiefsfan Everyone always speaks very highly of Heck in NFL circles, from what I've seen. I don't think development is the issue on the OL, though. Smith and Creed are great. Kingsley improved. Simmons was off to a fine start. I think the scheme really has been hurting every group.

I think there's definitely a strong argument to be made that the Chiefs' OL has been worse than the sum of its parts in multiple seasons.

@RealMNchiefsfan Who exactly is the real audience for these "reports"? Do the agents want it out there to inflate their own egos or do they think so poorly of their clients and potential clients that they think those groups of people actually believe the never to be earned numbers?

Are people going to get sick enough of copy/paste reports that are clearly what agents are directing people to "leak" that we'll see the end of the "insider" era? IMO getting information 1 minute earlier isn't worth having to sift through the spin. Maybe that's just me.

@thepiecesmatter @race31x For simplicity, say it’s a 7M gtd with an $8M incentive for 1,000 yd rec. since he didn’t get 1,000 yards last yr, it’s not likely to be earned (NLTBE). 2026 Cap Hit = $7M. 2027 cap hit is 0 unless he gets 1,000 yards in 2026, in which case the 2027 cap hit = $8M. Hope this helps
