$7.25 an hour is about $14,000 a year. No one can survive on that. People can barely survive on double that. We raised the minimum wage in Illinois. It's long overdue everywhere else.

paramedics are assholes. trust me. we picked up a patient who just had their car trapped under a semi for over 2 miles and the lead paramedic on the call (i was an emt at the time) said to me “she’s probably freakin out so bad cause she’s high as shit. look how black her teeth are” and started laughing and i said “or she’s freaking out because she was just dragged down the highway and probably thought she was dead” he didn’t talk for the rest of the shift and i switched stations the following week.

people shoot each other for honking here… they will most definitely knock you off the side of the highway if they are late to work. and if we are being honest the infrastructure isn’t terrible, it’s just car-centric. that was a decision they made a long time away when they (settlers) realized how big this piece of land is. everything was built based on if a carriage was needed.

account was opened thursday, first payment was due in 3 days, they said they needed 3 business days to send test money to my account to pair to the new account and they literally didn’t send it til the final business day which was monday so i was two days late on my payment. they were also the owner of the loan i took out (they as in the bank) and happily charged me a late fee the following pay period 😂

there’s nothing wrong with that, but debt isn’t bad. i think we look at it as bad in society but the way i view it is debt is showing i’m responsible because i can pay it off.
only other thing id say is mortgage lenders use your fico 2 score in most cases rather than the more common fico 8. your fico 2 is stricter than fico 8 so it’s almost always lower. you can see your 2, 4, and 5 score using my fico or contacting a mortgage lender and asking them to check your scores. i’m currently trying to raise my 2 so i am using the azeo method for the next few months :)
