the Irish government is bleeding the Irish taxpayer dry despite taking in 32 Billion Euro in corporation tax alone. These tax receipts are then transferred to state spending but not infrastructure. The Children’s hospital remains overrun and incomplete, there is still no metro and house building remains far behind what is necessary. They will do anything, absolutely anything, other than cut taxes. #memberful_overlay" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">gript.ie/perrins-irish-…

If you are shocked that the Govt buys houses for IPAS... Then you obviously have never heard of a company called Dídean Dochas. Its easily the best business model I have ever seen....all paid for by the Irish taxpayer: 1) Govt gives tens of millions to a private company 2) Company buys hundreds of houses across midlands 3) Company rents houses back to the State for IPAS 4) Company routes all profits to Isle of Man. 5) State doesn't even own the houses at the end of it all 6) Company's balance sheet worth €€€€€ 6) CEO of Company is EDPetrol. 7) Vrooom Vrooom

Since 2022 Didean has been busy buying up properties around the midlands - Laois, Offally, Carlow, Limerick, Westmeath and beyond. By end of 2023, their property portfolio was worth €7.5million and rising fast.

- Mass producing all the food we can and becoming a breadbasket: leave the farmers alone then, green suburbanites should not dictate agricultural policy- they grow a few tomatoes on a windowsill and think they are Norman Borlaug. - Complete energy security through oil, gas and nuclear: totally agree and prioritising nuclear energy investment over AI investment is a must in coming years. - Attracting tourism: we’ve lost a step but we have a solid brand- wild Atlantic way, the Tain, Dublin City, Galway and Belfast. The potential for revenue is exponential here. Lift the passenger cap on Dublin airport. More routes for Shannon and Knock. - Can we really compete on AI or has the ship sailed- it’s not a competition. Ai is revolutionary and we will merely exist alongside it. It may improve lives to some degree but it will never produce jobs only reduce them. We will never be at the fore of this revolution. Innovation doesn’t get rewarded in Ireland just taxed out of existence. - What tertiary services will AI require and can we corner one of those markets- Ai will look after its own tertiary services- once AGI is here- humans at pcs are redundant. - If we’re going to lost lots of jobs, we need to look at reversing tax individualisation- we need to do this anyway. The taxpayer in this country gets absolutely screwed with zero value back in return. Government spending is off the scale and the value returned is comical. - How can we reduce spending by 40%…. Unleash Ai within the public sector. Initial pioneers in the space said the biggest bang for your buck with Ai is to implement it at executive level. Quicker, smarter decisions where value is for benefit of all. Would significantly reduce ngo spending, leaner departments and a better bank for your buck national projects. Definitely wouldn’t have allowed for that CHI contract be signed without major revision.

As a country, we need to decide where the future of our economy lies, we can’t trust it to the lads who can’t build a shed for less than €450000 We need to consider our strengths and play to them, and build our economy around that. As a minimum we need real conversations on: - Mass producing all the food we can and becoming a breadbasket - Complete energy security through oil, gas and nuclear - Attracting tourism - Can we really compete on AI or has the ship sailed - What tertiary services will AI require and can we corner one of those markets - If we’re going to lost lots of jobs, we need to look at reversing tax individualisation - How can we reduce spending by 40%

The IMF has warned today that AI could impact 40%+ of Irish jobs. We cannot fly blind into the biggest labour market disruption in decades. The National Skills Observatory recommended by our Oireachtas AI Committee is needed now more than ever.

Behold: the most impressive abuse of an MP’s expense account that I’ve seen. An average price of just under £2,000 PER ITEM. Just me, or is this taking the piss out of tax payers?

@wereontheditch Well they are paying 750m for the service… if I was to give that to a govt mouthpiece and it wasn’t delivering the biased commentary I wanted I’d be livid too. I’d be onto the Free Speech Police like POD and also looking at the media management policies of N. Korea.

Consumer Price Index data out today. Your energy bills are now 83% higher than they were in 2016 and the government acts like this is just normal life now. Then prices jumped another 13% in just four months to April 2026. Ordinary people are getting hammered.

>Gypsy travellers commit premeditated gang rape of a child. >It lasts 90 minutes. >They film the attacks, laugh at the child they're raping, encourage their friends to rape her, mock the child asking “why do you look sad?” >They know they won't be punished so they rape an even younger child at knifepoint, cut her clothes off with knives. >The child victims are left petrified and wanting to die. >Judge praises the gang rapists' behaviour in court. >Judge lets them walk free saying “I should avoid criminalising [the rapists] unnecessarily”. >Gives them "youth rehabilitation orders". >Other gang rapists now know that activist judges have effectively decriminalised the violent gang rape of British children. >None of this is accidental.

RTE deputy DG Adrian Lynch has misled the Oireachtas media committee by claiming you can see what each independent production company is paid by RTE each year in the "IP report" The annual Independent Producers report shows the company and the show they produce and the number of hours. It DOES NOT disclose the amount paid to each production company. It gives an indication of overall cost of programmes by genre but it won't show you how much Oliver Callan's company is paid for Callans Kicks. about.rte.ie/commissioning/…

Funny to see Louise Duffy has kept the Ronan Collins audience and the stand-ins for Ryan Tubridy have kept his audience. Is it the slot, the brand, the production team which keeps the audience & how important is the presenter.

‘Top Talent’ is not a legitimate employment category. There are only 2 categories. ‘Contract of employment’ (employment) Or ‘Contract for employment’ (Self-employment) Ireland has a binary system, terms such as ‘Top Talent’ and ‘Freelance’ are management shorthand for bogus.
