1. No problem, usually when we ban, we do a proper review with location and all as well. And appeal is there.
2. Eligibility for new features depends, something like AI will be credit wise eventually. Something like HLD or AI updates, mostly NO. Current ones stay as it is. Future upgrades if it happens will be at discounted rates.

• who were the automobile & petroleum engineers who were consulted?
• where and when were meetings wrt Ethanol blending policy held with various stakeholders.
• where and when were trials conducted for vehicles wrt Ethanol blending with Petrol.
• Where was the pilot test run held, what vehicles and towns participated, who verified these results and how long were these pilot & trial runs held ?

The Government of India has noted certain misleading and unsubstantiated claims being circulated on social media regarding Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP), which appear to be aimed at confusing and misleading the public. It has also been observed that old images and videos are being recirculated in an apparent attempt to garner viewership through sensationalism and create unwarranted concerns regarding ethanol-blended fuel. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas reiterates that the Ethanol Blending Programme is scientifically validated and continuously monitored by the Government. The Ethanol Blending Programme was launched in 2003 with the objectives of reducing crude oil imports, enhancing energy security and promoting environmental sustainability. The programme has been implemented in a phased manner based on technical preparedness and stakeholder consultations, culminating in the rollout of 20 per cent ethanol blending (E20) from 2023 onwards. @therealBatman_7 No need to stress at all about E20 fuel for your virtus. 1.5 tsi evo ECU is already handling 20% and can easily handle 22% blend as well. Find a pump that’s reputable and where stock keeps turning.
Engine damage will not be caused by e20 but can be caused by adulterated fuel

@throttleandtech And 2nd if e22 or more becomes base fuel, does OEM and Insurers comply to government norms reg extended warranty or engine damage; consumer has to bare it.
And is there any added advantage if i go with xp95, power95 instead of regular petrol.

I have been using X for a while, all it caused me was panic.
Most of my worry was about turbo engine are sensitive to ethanol blends, but your take is completely opposite.

Right now, the best advice I can give you as an automotive journalist is to stop buying new cars and bikes, until this #ethanol mess is sorted out. OEMs are too scared to say anything to the government, so this will be one way of pressurising them as well.
