@DarrenEthridge3 He’s done a great job. I’m sure one of the days will be setup for a charge. I don’t mind that.

@therealGFD Kerry has done a very good job so far this week with his setup but I fear that all the complaining about the toughness will result in a much easier course this weekend

The deepest field in golf takes on Aronimink Golf Club this week for the PGA Championship. The PGA has a stout list of winners since moving to May, but with the field depth, there is great value to find... Let's take a look at my favorite value plays and the weather report...🧵

@BlakeKnowsBets I think those factors open it up for a bigger comeback. Three quick birdies moves you up the board in a hurry.

@therealGFD With who’s on top and who’s in the red currently… add in how this course is playing and assuming it’ll tougher tomorrow and is just hell on the back 9 Sat/Sun. 6 shots feels like 12

Brooks Koepka was 6 back after round 1 of the 2023 PGA. This is the largest 18-hole deficit for a winner since the PGA moved to May. There are currently 104 players within 6 of the lead...

@WampumMining Since it moved to May, it has been awesome. I didn’t expect this course to play this tough, and I’m pleasantly surprised.

@rileybubba You get a club length and are allowed to change surfaces. Sometimes you can even get to drop on the green

@therealGFD how does scheffler get to drop from deep rough into fringe on 17? He got same relief at masters on 7! We are not allowed to move ball to improve our lie in our club tournaments.

He was T38 (the other 5 winners were T20 or better). There are 48 players T38 or better (Even).

@xbruinboyx He made the final four in my trends piece! I do think this is a pretty good venue for Spieth. Best PGA venue for him in a long time. I’ll be rooting for him

@therealGFD Do the same people that setup the PGA Championship at Quail last year, set up the course this year? Things like pin and tee placements are being set by the same people for PGA championship? Do you weigh a golfer’s familiarity with how a governing body sets up the course?

@DarrenEthridge3 Yes, the PGA of America committee sets it up every year. They work with the golf course staff, but they are in control. I do think there are some players who play well at PGA’s or U.S. Opens specifically. Some setup philosophies gel with certain players. The course is key though.

The dream has always been speed, stability and consistency with great aerodynamics. See how we unlocked all four with #GTS.
