In the past month: I have directed a new feature film, did pickup shoots for 2 feature films I directed, line producing on another feature, made 8 preliminary budgets, negotiated over 12 contracts, been in over 50 meetings & booked my next directing job for a horror short film.

@robinsonishyde Yes. Mortgaged homes and lost it. The worst part? Sometimes folks don't appreciate the art itself if they're not in the industry or a student of art.

Just finished Season 3 of Primal on @adultswim. A masterclass in visual storytelling- proving that dialogue isn't always necessary when the direction, pacing, and emotion are this strong. Genndy Tartakovsky continues to show what animation can achieve at its highest level.

@Stage32Scripts It's great to know there's organizations helping aspiring screenwriters get their foot in the door. Not hype, but actual results. Continue the good work.

Not every short film contest gets you meetings w/ major agencies. Over 30 of our past winners were signed by UTA, Echo Lake, Verve, Gersh, etc. One was Oscar shortlisted. Another sold a spec to Warner Bros—based on their winning short. Check it out here: buff.ly/eAn2GJE

The future of entertainment isn't just about bigger budgets. It's about smarter systems. Leaner teams, empowered creators, and tools that remove friction instead of adding layers. There's a different way to build.

@PrimeCurrentTV When you look at moments like the changes at Warner Bros. Discovery, it's hard not to notice a pattern across the industry. Scale is being rethought. The next phase of entertainment maybe defined less by size-and more by how efficiently creativity can actually operate.

Leadership changes at Warner Bros. Discovery mark another significant moment for the media industry. As David Zaslov exits with a substantial compensation package, the company-like many others- continue to navigate restructuring and workforce reductions.

As leadership chsnges at Warner Bros. Discovery, it highlights a broader shift. The gap between how content is funded and how its created is becoming harder to ignore. The next wave of platforle won't just compete on content-

@DEADLINE This is an interesting claim by Sarandos. I'm interested to see if others will express similar claims. If so, how will the Paramount Warner Brothers deal look years from now.

@Variety It's situations like this that really shows the importance of having independent film studios. Sometimes corporate politics get in the way of human decency. Hearts go out to staff that will be affected by the merger.

@Luiz_Fernando_J This is really troubling, profits over people. Yes this is a business, but there's still a human element that's greatly needed to make it work. Livelihoods lost and the current state of affairs doesn't guarantee a new job right away. Even in this industry.

When I say that one day people will have a real look at #DavidZaslav’s role at WB’s fate… In the latest SEC filing submitted by WBD, it was unveiled that Zazzy expects to earn almost $900M in total compensation payouts for selling WB. But not only that. It was really a team work, as his direct leadership will also get exorbitant expected payouts: #JBPerrette, head of streaming & gaming at WBD, will get $142M in total payout; #BruceCampbell, the current Chief Revenue and Strategy Officer, will receive $121.5M Even the company CFO #GunnarWiedenfels will end up with a $120M in total proceeds. And the head of $WBD International, #GerhardZeiler, expects to receive around $82.6M in total proceeds related to the merger with #Paramount. Note that these figures are provisional and estimates that can change, since they are dependent on the deal closing. The same people whose, in a recent Town Hall, performed fake empathy to WB employees. will make more money with this deal than they would ever make just working hard in their own positions. Zaslav would be almost a billionaire with this deal alone. And there were people out there who genuinely believed that “Zaslav doesn’t want to sell, he is being forced by evil Ellisons”. When the whole reason why he acquired WB on the first place was literally to do what he’s done and to make the obscene amount of money out of flipping WB he is making now. And that doesn’t even include the millions in profit they already made with the selling of stocks they received when WB was acquired in 2022, even before the current deal closing. And even so, in 6 years Zaslav and his team never got the level of heat #DavidEllison got in the past months. WB is about to face its 3rd tidal wave of massive layoffs because of Zaslav’s ambition in less than 4 years. Many people will lose their livelihoods and surely won’t be as generously compensated for their real contributions to the performances the studio achieved recently. But who cares, right? Zaslav clearly doesn’t, and the industry has been absolutely fine with it. Zaslav was their so called WB saviour, after all…

Something interesting is happening in film and television. Big studios are chasing global franchises. At the same time, audiences are responding strongly to distinctive independent storytelling.

Ryan Coogler has found so much success by pairing up with college friends like Ludwig Göransson. Good reminder that networking, especially in creative industries, isn’t always about climbing the ladder. You’ve got to network horizontally as well.
