@simonmaechling I’ll give you all the chemicals that make an orange. Will you make me an orange?

@thompjptoot @RepLuna I’m in Nebraska. I work with and talk toto farmers every single day. The stripping of protections for Bayer/chemchina was a great move that helps all American especially farmers . If they had protections, it would have been farmers in the crosshairs.
English

@RepLuna Have you actually gone to the breadbasket of the country and talked to farmers about how bad of an idea this is for us? All of you maha moms bitch and moan about food costs and yet you want to take away the very tools we use to help control costs on our end. Get out and learn.

When you reject free markets. federalism, and choice, you end up sounding just like . . . Nancy Pelosi! A cosponsor to GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna's @RepLuna (failed) effort to make meat prices higher for everyone.

@RepDonBacon Yet you went against your constituents like me and voted against the Luna Amendment. This will not be forgotten.

Thank you @CongressmanGT for speaking truth about this aspect of our agriculture production.

Luna Amendment Vote:
The room was almost silent for the “Nays” — but the vote was called for the “Nays”
@RepLuna requests a recorded vote:
English

@pagel1776 @amtoxicology @RepLuna @AustinScottGA08 She did get out to roll call, but it never should have. Should have been over right then. It was basically infamous unanimous.
English

@thereal_NOX @amtoxicology @RepLuna @AustinScottGA08 She should get it in the roll call vote. Hold the line and stay loud!

🚨Big Ag Capture on display in midnight debate - @RepLuna calls out @AustinScottGA08 for promoting a liability shield for cancer-causing Roundup…

Earlier today, D.C. politics almost derailed the farm bill — and with it, 21 priorities we secured for Iowa producers, from helping beginning farmers to cracking down on illegal puppy mills.
We fought through it. Negotiated and disagreed. And found a resolution that not only moves this critical legislation forward, but secures a vote on nationwide, year-round E15.
English

@ZachNunn @IACommAlliance We need you to vote yes on the Luna amendment. Americans>foreign corporations. If you vote no on the amendment, you will not have a future in politics.

Our ReConnecting Rural America Act codifies broadband expansion for Iowa's rural communities — and it's one of 21 provisions we secured in the Farm Bill.
Met with @IACommAlliance today to discuss how we are helping rural Iowa get connected.

I have now been accosted by two Republican members of Congress for trying to remove pesticide liability protections. Both of which claim to be “God-fearing” Christians, but are shilling for cancer causing pesticide companies.
Yikes.
One even claims to be pro-life, but is cool with pesticides killing kids.
English

@cody_washburn @RepThomasMassie @thefoodbabe No one is getting rid of pesticides and herbicides you dope . We want to get rid of a liability shield. The companies that make them need to be held accountable if they harm/kill people. Pretty simple.
English

@RepThomasMassie @thefoodbabe Farming wouldn’t exist without pesticides & herbicides. I don’t like that, but it’s a fact

The farm bill is back on the menu tonight. This place is insane. Keep up the pressure to pass the amendment to strip out pesticide labeling ban / immunity from the farm bill. It’s now possible we will vote on it tonight.
Thomas Massie@RepThomasMassie
The vote on the Farm Bill (with PRIME Act included!) is likely delayed two weeks now due to fight over E15. I look forward to voting for an amendment to strip the pesticide immunity/state labeling ban from the bill when it comes up. With public support, the amendment could pass.
English

@epaleezeldin I talk to farmers all day every day and the number one thing they want is for agrochemical companies to have liability.

The #1 issue raised to me by farmers nationwide is their concern over faulty Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) systems. The Trump EPA has already taken action to massively reverse DEF deratements, restore “Right to Repair”, collect needed data from manufacturers, and eliminate DEF sensors. Up next, we will soon release a proposal to permanently end deratements entirely as part of upcoming NOx rulemaking.
Great press conference yesterday, hosted by @SecRollins at USDA HQ, focused on Trump Admin efforts to lower fertilizer costs and boost U.S. farming.
