On Wednesday, we learned more about using survey's to create analysis. We also used R Markdown to create Perceptual Maps, which can be used to analyze consumer behavior. #mktgfiasco4000
@KenistonAngela Those are important considerations of survey design. As marketers, getting a high response rate is crucial when researching a target market. The tips on the slide are crucial to having participants complete your survey. #mktgfiasco4000
In class today, we learned about Qualtrics and how it can be used to collect data and analyze it. Based on the exercise we did in class, it seems like an easy way to gather information that could be useful as a marketer. #mktgfiasco4000
@RowdyRrunner I agree that it was not the hardest. I think that the creating a map activity could be useful to the final project as well. Data visualization is important when communicating your findings! #mktgfiasco4000
This week, we became familiar with Tableau. It was actually not the hardest to manage. The activity of creating a map with the Avocado Sales data was insightful, especially in preparing for our final project. It offered a new way to create visualizations for data. #mktgfiasco4000
@jlmirez Hi Jessica, I agree that it is very easy to get lost. Making connections between the data is important when it comes to analyzing and finding the meaning of what the data is trying to tell you. #mktgfiasco4000
I learned a lot of different ways to interpret and analyze our data from this week's class session. It's easy to get lost but breaking down what we want to find and making connections between the data have made it easier for our group to arrange our project. ✍️ #mktgfiasco4000
This week I was introduced to Tableau, which is a data visualization platform. This platform can be useful in gaining more insights into marketing data. I was surprised with how easy it was to use compared to Excel when looking at avocado sales in different cities #mktgfiasco4000
@RobyRde It was a lot to take in! However, I think it will be worth knowing in our future careers as marketers. This is something that will be beneficial. There is still so much to learn! #mktgfiasco4000
@marcelaiiriarte Yes! I agree, it was very straight forward. It helps that I vaguely remember t-testing in BA 3010, so I kind of know what the data results are telling me. #mkgtfiasco4000
#mktgfiasco4000
Performing a t-test on r studio in class today was easy and straightforward!Hopefully we go over how to use other data sources for analysis on r!
The labs we worked on this week really showed me that R Markdown is simple and reusable. For example, were able to reuse the same codes, but if we change just one thing, we will get different results. #mkgtfiasco4000
This weeks activity regarding the Welch's T-test really helped me understand how to read the data. With the box plots and histograms, we are able to compare the data and decide which hypothesis to go with. #mkgtfiasco4000
According to Stuart Frisby, trusting someone else's experiment data is the least reliable way A/B test. The more I think about it, the more I agree. It is important to keep track of all variables when testing, so it is better to trust your own data. #mktgfiasco4000
I was surprised how familiar t-testing was. I remember doing them in my data analysis class. It was cool learning how to do it through R Markdown. I am excited to see what else we can do through the program. What else am I going to see from data analysis? #mktgfiasco4000
R Markdown is much different than Excel. It shows how it works with data and columns. We are also able to change small parts of the graph, like color and lines, without altering the rest of the graph. #mktgfiasco4000
@RowdyRrunner I agree with you, the look up function in R is super helpful. If I do not understand a part of the code, I can look it up to see what it means and what it could do. #mkgtfiaso4000
It was cool to see how to “look up” a function I don’t understand using r studios. All I have to do is clicke “file”, “new file”, “r script”, “? And the function you want to define”, run! #mktgfiasco4000
I thought the lab we did this week was interesting. It was cool getting to see the code needed to build histograms and getting to mess with the colors of the bars. I struggle with getting two separate mean lines on the graph for the different types of avocados. #mktgfiaso4000
@jlmirez Hi! That activity really was interesting. I predict that I will be using this knowledge in my future job as well. R Markdown is simple and easy to reuse, providing a quick way to create documents. #mktgfiasco4000
The R Markdown activity was quite interesting. It’s cool how the tool allows us to paste our analysis and it formulates a document right away. It’s so quick and easy! Can’t wait to see how I can use this at my current workplace. 💻 #mktgfiasco4000
@RowdyRrunner Hi, I agree that bivariate can be very beneficial for marketers. There are some limitations to using, like outlier's, which could totally mess up the predictions given by the analysis and cause many errors. #mktgfiasco4000
I learned this week that a bivariate analysis can be used by marketers to make decisions about their pricing strategies, advertising strategies, and promotion strategies among others and generally used to find if there is a relationship between two variables. #mktgfiasco4000
Bivariate data can be used to a marketer’s advantage. When using it with simple linear regression, predictions can be made that can give a company a competitive advantage. #mktgfiasco4000
This week’s class sessions reminded me of BA 3010 and showed me how I can apply that knowledge in the terms of marketing. For example, how to know which marketing techniques are working the best. #mktgfiasco4000
This week, I learned how graphs are made using R Markdown. Again, I was surprised how simple it was. It is important to remember that if you are changing things in the syntax, the format needs to remain the same. #mktgfiasco4000
