The President should cancel all student debt via the Higher Education Act, as he has the authority to do. No need for half-measure programs. These debtors cannot afford repayment. It’s going to be disastrous.

The same apt I lived in 15 years ago for $750 a month is now nearly $1400 with no improvements. Even with roommates they are priced out.

That is not possible today due to a government bought by lobbyists and corporate greed. Remember when Scrooge was a bad guy? Now he’d be praised.

@codycr6 @FlynDutchman466 @PatrickKeschl @ninaturner But they do and that is the problem. We don’t have a fair market economy when the government bails our failures of business right? And why does Elon need an incentive? Does he not have enough? Not to mention the taxpayer money we give him.

Back when we had a fair tax system and a functioning government not owed by donors, you could work for minimum wage and raise a family as a single income household. That is impossible now and that is the problem.

@codycr6 @FlynDutchman466 @PatrickKeschl @ninaturner It is fair that those that make the most pay the most. But that is not happening. They get the benefits of our government (educated workforce, roads, fire and police protection, etc) but don’t pay their share towards those programs.
