Aren’t these just beautiful?
They really add something to the historic architecture of London’s Victorian and Georgian streets don’t they?

EU SAYS IF STARMER WANTS TO REJOIN THE EU WE HAVE TO DITCH THE POUND AND PAY MUCH HIGHER CONTRIBUTIONS
Top EU official warns Labour that Britain would have to ditch the pound, adopt the euro and pay massively higher budget contributions with no rebate if it ever wants to rejoin the bloc.
Sandro Gozi, head of the EU-UK Parliamentary Assembly, told Brussels it must end its “obsession with carve-outs” explicitly including the euro and said the old British rebate that slashed contributions by two-thirds would not be coming back.
Gozi admitted rejoining could be fast-tracked because of the UK’s existing alignment and institutional memory, calling it a “victory for Europe as a whole.”
The intervention comes as senior Labour figures Wes Streeting and Andy Burnham openly talk of reversing Brexit, while Keir Starmer pushes for a major EU summit this summer to deepen ties.
Labour’s manifesto still rules out rejoining the single market or customs union and insists free movement remains a red line.
Brussels is already signalling the true price of any full reset.
And critics are already saying if they betray Brexit then we need a general election as this was NOT in Labours manifesto that they were elected on.

Good news for families: Children across England will get free bus travel in August.
UK Prime Minister@10DowningStreet
We know that families are still feeling the cost of living pressure, so we’re delivering immediate support. Free bus travel for children this August and action to cut the cost of everyday food. Helping families get through the holidays and putting money back into people’s pockets.

Freedom of movement.
Do you remember that?
The time when we could all choose to live and work in the EU as easily in Berlin as Brighton, Paris or Plymouth, Madrid as Manchester, Lisbon or London.
The old and the stupid stole this from us, and particularly from the young of the nation.
I will never ever forgive them.
