I love this. She asks if he’s a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, because she is. And he is too!

Some of the most vocal critics of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have the least amount of knowledge about our teachings coupled with a false notion that they know more about the Church of Jesus Christ than your average high school seminary student.

@bcbaker66 My parents grew up in Australia in the 60s before the vaccine, they didn't know anyone personally that died. Grok says on average 18 kids per year died of measles in Australia in the 60s, very low compared to other causes of death. Hygiene and medical care is more important.

@thetempleledger You are lucky to have very young parents! Measles killed c. 95,000 people in 2024, mostly unvaccinated children <5. The death rate for tetanus was 10 per cent before the vaccine, >50 per cent in infants. My mum held her baby nephew in her arms as he died from pertussis.

My parents lost 3-4 classmates a year to diseases now rendered impotent through the widespread use of vaccines. I am grateful for this day and for living prophets who have always urged the Saints to protect both family and community. Happy to get both flu and Covid jabs today!

@thetempleledger @bcbaker66 Sorry, but you’re obviously too young to have parents who lived during pre-vaccine measles epidemics. And no, not everyone got measles and survived.

I don’t know why I was chosen but I am invited to attend the Lindon Utah temple dedication inside the temple. I am so happy and excited. I grew up a mile from where the temple stands and I currently live less than a mile from it now. What a sacred event it will be, to hear a prophet, seer and a revelator dedicate the Lord’s house. #SaintsOnX

LDS Church is a 19th-century American sect founded on Joseph Smith’s false “restoration,” just like the Strangites—same false prophet, same invented scriptures. Pointing to “Catholic atrocities” is the classic tu quoque fallacy. The Church has sinners in her ranks (CCC 827), but she is the indefectible Mystical Body of Christ, guided by the Holy Spirit into all truth (Jn 16:13; Mt 28:20). She has never taught polygamy, theocratic tyranny, or false gospels. Mormonism’s entire foundation is heresy and schism from the pillar of truth (1 Tim 3:15). Individual sins do not invalidate the Church Christ built

@1TrueChurch @TeeplesCY You do know the LDS church is not the Strangites, right? And if we're going to play a game of bringing up atrocities committed in the name of religion, the Catholic Church wins that one hands down.

On Beaver Island, Michigan (1848–1856), James Strang’s Strangite Mormon “kingdom” crowned Strang “king,” imposed theocratic tyranny, and viciously discriminated against Catholics and non-Mormons. They drove out Irish Catholic fishermen, burned their homes and boats, stole property, imposed forced “tithes,” and used mob violence and threats to expel anyone refusing Mormon rule. Non-Mormons were beaten, robbed, and terrorized under Strang’s polygamous dictatorship until his assassination in 1856 collapsed the regime.

While the Latter-day Saints trumpet their little after-school study hall for 30,000 kids and pat themselves on the back for 95% math gains, the Catholic Church has run the world’s greatest schools for two thousand years—monasteries that saved civilization, universities like Paris and Salamanca that forged the intellect of the West—all because Christ commanded us to “teach all nations” (Mt 28:19-20). Your secular test-prep program is a sandbox toy. Catholic education forms the whole man—mind, will, and soul—in the fear of the Lord, “the beginning of wisdom” (Prov 9:10), producing saints, popes, and doctors of the Church while yours churns out improved test scores. We don’t chase statistics; we build cathedrals of truth on the Rock of Peter. Keep playing school. The One True Church already won.

@deanandsha @TeeplesCY Is the church not allowed to protect its property? Do other churches not have fences?

I didn't get the Covid vaccine and don't feel the least bit of guilt over it. No I didn't disobey the Prophet, read what was actually said. At no point ever was it a commandment or stated that their guidance was based on revelation. "Individuals are responsible to make their own decisions about vaccination. In making that determination, we recommend that, where possible, they counsel with a competent medical professional about their personal circumstances and needs" "To provide personal protection from such severe infections, we urge individuals to be vaccinated. Available vaccines have proven to be both safe and effective."

What has been the best change the church has made in the last 7+ years? Just a few examples: • Ministering • Dissolving Hight Priest Group • No more YM presidency • Women Sunday School President • Removal of one-year waiting for sealing • Lowering of age for missionaries So many more… What has made a positive impact for you or your family?

@bcbaker66 @PBandJ2030 I used to work in the Brisbane temple and got to receive PNG saints coming for their ordinances, it was very special! They now go to Fiji I believe, but they'll have their own soon!

@PBandJ2030 My bishop served in the Brisbane Mission and spent most of his two years in PNG. He must have been after your time. Now we only send Islanders there. It's a wild place still - and a difficult field for missionary work - but that has really started to change recently.

Most of the six Elders currently at the Temporary MTC in Port Moresby, PNG, had never seen a General Conference before last week. It was a sacred, joyful experience for them to hear inspired sermons, to sing along with the Tabernacle Choir, and to sustain living prophets of God.

Trouble 'obtaining and processing documentation needed for passports and visas' has caused huge delays for missionaries from PNG. To help, the Church opened an MTC in Port Moresby on 20 February. On the L are the 1st 3 Elders to be trained there. On the R are 3 future PNG Elders!

@Latterdaytruth The Australian government once had a speeding slogan "Every Km over is a killer ", it's clearly not or we'd all be dead. They lied. Some laws are dumb and violating them is not morally wrong.

1. It’s morally wrong to willfully violate the law. 2. Speeding is a violation of the law. Conclusion: Willfully speeding is morally wrong. Thoughts?
