Amplitude or mixpanel depending on what’s in your stack Go to cohort analysis, look at user behavior in the last 14 days look at the funnel break downs, you will see drop off points from signup to (aha moment) could be transactions, deposits just ensure it’s your North Star metric. Next step will be looking the percentage changes across each step of the funnel Don’t try to fix everything for this phase we want to focus on the event closest to the aha event. That’s the first fix you need to carry out. Once that improves you can work back from that point. Take a screenshot of the event, go to Figma and see if you can replicate the funnel activity till that event you saw in your tool. Create an hypothesis based on what you think can be reason for the drop off. Don’t just create 1, create like 3 or 4 then score them with ICE (impact, confidence and ease) The reason you want to score it this way is so that you pick the hypotheses that would be the easiest to deploy. Send an email to relevant stakeholders including the screenshots and then brief of what you’re trying to achieve. In some setups you may need to speak to your line manager first so follow what’s the laid down structure in your org. If possible put where the company is at transaction wise and project what will improve should bottle necks be fixed. I’ve found that it helps stakeholders move faster when they see the damage being done. Once approvals are done, work with product and engineering to deploy. Then your job would be testing the hypothesis. Document your wins, failures and learnings in a sheet, share with stakeholders and also include what the next test would be from these learnings.
