@FPX500 They're asking the wrong question indeed, it always should be when did you realize you won't make it and decided to start LARPing.

By far the most common "question" that I get on X and Discord etc. is: "How long did it take you to become profitable?" And I hate that question. Why? Not because it makes me uncomfortable. But because I know exactly what underlying question it implies. New/unprofitable traders think they're gonna find a "setup" one day, a pattern, something they will realize about the market that will make them profitable and consistent all of a sudden. That doesn't exist in the real world. It will be a slow grind of small findings that turn you positive (possibly). You're not gonna have an "aha" moment and become profitable the next day. Again, the master skill is being able to get by and survive.

@FPX500 "a short squeeze", wrong and lazy analysis made by an idiot. CTAs flipped long, most Hedge Funds re-risked all through April. Billions of dollars started coming in aggressively by the end of Q1, all the jobs data coming out positive, earnings kept coming in strong as well.

This entire rally started as a relief rally and flipped into a full short squeeze because a lot of big players simply weren’t positioned for that much upside that fast. Consumer sentiment just hit the lowest reading since the index began in the 1950s. Read that again. And yes, the market can keep ripping higher even while most people get poorer… because wealth (and stock ownership) is more concentrated at the top than ever. Tech megacaps driving the indexes only make that gap wider. HAGW!
