@StarbaseTX Who does "The City of Starbase" refer to in this context? The city council?

The City of Starbase does not support the name change from ‘Boca Chica Beach.’ We think that the current beach name is appropriate.

Teslas vs legacy ICE vehicle fleets: • Most American-made • Cheaper to operate • Faster & more powerful • Safer • Better tech • Better for environment • Can drive themselves It's a no-brainer.
Ron DeSantis@RonDeSantis

No doubt. If we save on fuel costs, reduce mishaps through FSD and get lower insurance rates, that could be some real benefits for taxpayers when applied across the fleet. And from a law enforcement/performance perspective, the Teslas are very fast and powerful. I’d imagine that would stack up favorably to legacy vehicles.

SpaceXAI has announced that they will be applying a 50% discount on the standard @Starlink monthly price for both new and existing customers in the Memphis area as a way to give back to the community where they operate their Colossus data centers. • No upfront hardware costs on Residential Starlink kits for new customers • The discount applies to Starlink service addresses located in eligible parts of the Memphis area (see below). • No action is required. The discount will appear on your next bill and will continue as long as your service address remains in the eligible area. • Friends and family nearby can also benefit from the discount. You both earn a month of free service through Starlink's referral program.

@SawyerMerritt Hoping Tesla makes good on the updates for Enhanced Autopilot they marketed it with. Tons of people bought this package for thousands for safe highway driving and the V14 stack would be a huge evolution for the fleet.

Think about this, the 7+ year old Teslas with AI3 that are now getting FSD V14 Lite have a more capable self-driving system than any brand-new non-Tesla car currently sold in North America. Pretty wild.

@microcenter Probably best to wait for prices to return to sanity. These drives are massively price-inflated at the moment.

@LaughinOutLoudr @AccessIPOs Why are they so secretive about this? Surely they used an algorithm, so they could be transparent. Their customers could then better plan for future IPOs. Otherwise all the customers can do is move to another broker and cross their fingers for better allocations.

@TT5667610053078 @SawyerMerritt Exactly this. Some transparency up-front about how allocations would work could have saved people from unnecessary capital gains and churn on investments.

@SawyerMerritt My allotment was 44 shares when I requested close to a thousand with tesla holds of 5 plus years on greater with 4 digit share amounts. I feel let down and priority to long term tesla holders was a joke. Especially after I moved funds to cover. All I did was incur tax liability

For those experiencing an IPO for the first time, it's common for first trading of the company going public to begin several hours after the 9:30 AM ET market open. The NASDAQ is currently indicating a first trade around $175 per share for SpaceX, though that price may change as buy and sell orders are matched and trading officially begins. Big IPOs often begin trading after 12 PM ET, but we'll see how it goes with SpaceX.

SpaceX IPO allocations are trickling in. $SPCX Robinhood is holding to the previous algorithm. Either 1 share, or 10% of request + 9. $HOOD Fidelity strong allocations so far (sample of 3 requests). 100% on one, 24% on another. 0 on 3rd (same SSN). Still waiting on $SOFI and Schwab.

@insaneoctane @wholemars Autopilot is completely abandoned at this point. They aren't even including it on new cars anymore, so they're certainly not allocating resources towards improving it on old cars.

@wholemars Only as long as you fork over $99 per month. And if you don't, it won't even do lane centering.

@Tesla The safest cars on the road are the ones without drivers. If every car had FSD, you could probably build them out of cardboard and they’d still be safer than today’s cars with human drivers.

@itskyleconner Yikes. "Highway & Commuting Assistant" is $2500 for 4 years, after which it has to be "renewed" at an unspecified price. Not as expensive as FSD subscription, but still ultimately a 'you'll own nothing' system :/

As a reminder, for just over $60k you get 400kW charging, 112kWh battery, 430+mi EPA range, and insane software / electrical architecture integration etc etc Options seem reasonably priced This feels like a deal…? Why are we excited about R2?
