Arsenal are reportedly closing in on the signing of Atlético Madrid striker Julián Álvarez, after sporting director Andrea Berta received a firm yes from the World Cup winner to move to north London this summer, according to strong reports from the Spanish media. @Carra23 ….and so it becomes about the “fan” that the English media have painted as the stereotypical Arsenal fan. That then goes into cultural issues of what a fan is supposed to look and sound like. You hear accusatory terms like “blud” all the time. It’s pathetic.

It’s not bizarre at all, you say ‘rooting’ for City which I totally understand they don’t provoke the same feelings as others, but people aren’t rooting for City, they WANT them to beat Arsenal! That’s the difference. The column looks at why. Thanks for bringing more traffic👍
