The extension suddenly became Disabled, and I got this permission to accept? Is @SteamDB compromised? Should I accept this because the SteamChina seems shady af.

@thexpaw Hey! The next best step would be to send in a bug report so that our teams can look into this issue. Can you please send in a ticket here: dis.gd/bugreport

Once upon a time, there was a 12 year old boy who dreamt of being in FaZe. That boy was me. Fast forward a decade, I am proud for not only reaching that dream, but also creating history within it. Today I am officially leaving FaZe to start another journey. It was an absolute joy and pleasure to represent this team alongside all the amazing people, who became like family to me. Memories for a lifetime, one of the best 3 years of my life. No words will do justice to how much this meant for me and how special everything was, this was a decision I made against my heart and a part of me will always love this team and organisation. Thank you.

If you're an average en/em dash enjoyer like me, use Windows, and have a numpad: Alt + 0150 for – Alt + 0151 for —

@marcgravell On a first thought a very interesting idea, on a second thought this looks like scary magic and you can't really tell if it's going through magic interpolator or just string format. Also, wouldn't dapper.aot fix the alloc concerns?

Dapper; radical new API suggestion using custom interpolated string handler voodoo; question: is it worth it? github.com/DapperLib/Dapp… Example: conn.Execute($"update account set balance = balance + @{delta} where id = @{id}"); In context: is **not** a string, and is SQLi-safe.

Codename for Steam Controller 2 is “Ibex” Separate product from Deckard’s “Roy” controller(s) Both are being tooled for a mass production goal in their factories right now. That’s why I know they’re in later stages of productization

It should be possible to build a usable browser from web standards alone. Part of @ladybirdbrowser's mission is to find out if that's actually true—and if not, to help improve the standards to make it so! We've got a long way to go, but this is something we're very passionate about. FWIW, here's a snapshot of how NYTimes already looks today in our browser built from scratch on standards, not by forking an existing engine! 🤓

@awesomekling @ladybirdbrowser Heard from Casey Muratori once that the web standards are so poorly written you couldn't actually get a working browser from them, wonder how accurate he was

@thexpaw It actually takes 5 seconds for the page to be responsive? I have not felt that on YouTube Or is this measuring irrelevant background work because they do schedule a ton of shit later once they’ve finished hydrating

How many random people here are gonna talk about 200ms and not mention most of it is spent idle on IO and not actual work You’re comparing somethjng with likely only CPU time vs something that is likely including network latency and it looks stupid Stop it
Sebastian Aaltonen@SebAaltonen

200ms is fast for web programmers. Meanwhile game programmers have to target the latest 240Hz screens. That's 4.16ms to simulate and render the whole game world (can contain million objects). Any operation that takes 1ms+ is considered an expensive operation in real time apps.

@thexpaw What? How is that a problem lmao Aside from the people hellbent on serverless most apps with stateful components such as a DB are really not that slow at small scale. The issue here is that two sides are comparing wildly different metrics and arguing lol

meshoptimizer 0.22 is out! Featuring significant improvements to simplifier (attribute simplification, fewer topology restrictions, component pruning), new provoking vertex algorithm (thanks to John Hable), clusterization improvements & gltfpack size optimizations. Thanks to Valve for sponsoring most of the work on the core library in this release!

@gabefollower They changed how it's displayed, devs can specify what anticheat the game uses now, which standardized VAC too instead of being separate feature.

McMaster Carr website built in Next.js. Real data, real DB calls. Uses React server components and loads LESS javascript than the McMaster Carr website. I love this because a ton of the responses to my video were anti-modern framework, when in reality the modern frameworks make this stuff so much more attainable.
