Appreciate he's not for everyone and you can't cleanly compare sides from different years.
However when I think of most Spurs good sides during the Premier League era, they mostly included a true ball winner. Parker, Wanyama, Palacios and Sandro all played important roles for us

Let’s be honest any side Villa put out is tough because we’re just not a good side, but there are some key players not starting there. We have been better under De Zerbi, but it’s a game we really need to take advantage. My fear is Rogers who always has a stormer against us

It’s not the same as you still had a better defence and midfield than us and your second choice players cost millions more than ours as we aren’t allowed to spend. Our first 11-12 players are good after that the drop off is massive. We had to play Bogarde in midfield who is championship level and Barkley whose legs have gone. Plus Tielmans still isn’t fit and shouldn’t be on the pitch. Then there is Mings who legs have gone and Sancho who dies t even give a s**t

I slandered Bentancur at the start of the season because I though our midfield wasn’t good enough to challenge with the top 4/5 like we wanted to be (and tbf Frank ball was horror)
But since he’s come he’s made our midfield so much better. I think under RDZ he has these patterns he needs to follow like he did under Conte and it works. Frank basically had him as our DLP and that just didn’t work at all
