Writing “Iru: The Remarkable Life of Irawati Karve” was as joyful as it was hard. How can one fit a whole life, with all its contradictions, into a few hundred pages? Now, I am looking forward to talking about our book with readers, friends, and scholars in India.

We are now in the land of Iru i.e. Pune! Catch authors Urmilla Deshpande and @thiago_asobrab at the Deptt. of Anthropology, Pune University as they launch the book in the presence of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Suresh Gosavi and Prof. K.C. Malhotra. 13 February, 4 pm onwards.
