If the best an atheist can come up with for an idea of god and heaven is a man in the sky and other childish depictions, it says more about their lack of depth and experience as a life form than it does inherently about the notions of god and heaven themselves. Life and death are objectively real concepts. Light and dark. Chaos and order. Creation and destruction. Good and evil. There is a ying and a yang to reality. That’s an observable fact. Light from the sun creates life, and a black hole destroys everything within its event horizon. Our notions of light and dark correlating with life and death are not accidental or made up. They reside deep within us, and there is much we don’t truly know. But if our bodies are instruments which can actually experience and feel the stimuli of the universe, then why wouldn’t something felt in the deepest parts of a person’s being be worthy of consideration? Just because humans are incapable of truly articulating the magnitude of these ideas effectively, and instead say stupid things like “Christ is king”, doesn’t mean there isn’t a much higher dimensional level of this existence that may have direct or indirect impact on events and evolution. The struggle between creation and destruction is objectively real at a fundamental existential level. It’s a cosmic war.

Cop Land is one of the most underrated movies of the 90s. Stallone wanted it so badly he took $60K, packed on weight, and promised no script changes. A powerhouse cast fuels this urban western, and when Ray Liotta was on fire, nobody matched him.

Yeah it’s not complicated. Burn bad, not burn not bad. Actually white people are a marvel of evolution because we can control the amount of melanin in our skin to suit our needs. We’re not simply doomed to be black. We can morph using the sun’s energy and build up our skin’s tolerance. The more of a base you have, the more sunlight you can absorb.

Cooking yourself in the sun non stop entirely unprotected. Sunlight is healthy, you should get quite a bit of it. Most people actually need more sun than they get. Most people need to get MUCH more of it. Letting yourself fry is bad. We have monumental amounts of research to show that it's bad, spanning years and years. Skin cancer is not a myth. Don't get cancer because some imbecile influencer told you it was actually really healthy. Be sane about things.

@9mmsmg Of course this is the logical approach.

My approach to seed oils is quite similar to Pascal's wager. I'm not 100% certain that they will kill you, but I avoid them. If I'm wrong and they're totally fine, I lose nothing. If they end up being the most destructive things we can eat, I won by avoiding them. Because of that, we don't purchase or use them in my house at all, and use alternatives. On the flip side, if I go out to eat occasionally, I'm not bugging the waiter to find out if my food came within 50 feet of a bottle of canola oil. Balance.
