ThinkOS Discord Call Recap - June 25, 2026 Thanks to everyone who joined today's ThinkOS discussion. The conversation helped sharpen where we're taking ThinkOS and what we need from the community as we move toward private alpha testing in July and a public beta target in August. Core Direction ThinkOS is being built as a model-agnostic, private-data, locally hosted agent operating system. The goal is not just another chat interface or another brittle agent harness. ThinkOS is designed around personal brains, company brains, and other group/context brains that can coordinate across humans, agents, workflows, and projects. The experience will feel less like programming complex loops and managing dashboards, and more like working with a personal AI chief of staff that can understand your context, coordinate other agents, and proactively ask for human input when needed. Onboarding and User Experience The planned onboarding flow starts with Theo, the ThinkOS concierge agent. Theo helps users get set up, checks the local machine, helps configure local models or external model API keys, and then helps spawn the user's personal AI chief of staff. That chief of staff will handle deeper intake over goals, projects, workflows, personal/professional context, and available data. From there, users can hire or spawn specialized agents for specific jobs to be done. The intended UX is conversational first. Users should not need to understand loop engineering, connector libraries, prompt-injection review, or complex skills marketplaces just to get useful agent workflows running. Company Brains and Team Context A major theme from the call was company brains. The strongest business use case is shared operating context across people, teams, and agents: a personal agent working with a team or department brain, connected to a broader company-wide intelligence layer. This matters because most businesses are still early in agentic workflows. ThinkOS can help teams move from scattered documents, chats, and tools into a living context system that agents can actually use to coordinate work. Marketplace and Ecosystem ThinkOS will support a curated agent marketplace. The goal is to make it easy for non-technical users to discover and hire useful agents without getting lost in the chaos of today's skills/plugin marketplaces. Agents and partner products should be personified where possible, so a user's chief of staff can coordinate with them naturally. We also discussed a lightweight SDK path for outside builders who want to bring agents, tools, or services into the ThinkOS ecosystem. Splat (@asksplat), Agent Keys (@AgentKeysApp), and Wire Network (@WireNetwork) were discussed as likely early ecosystem examples: Splat: an agent trading companion / performance arena for digital assets. Agent Keys: a social/access layer for token-gated agent workflows, strategies, structures, and skills. Wire Network: a foundation partner for cross-chain state/ownership infrastructure, helping make agent and human transactions across assets much smoother. THINK Token and Community We also reaffirmed that we are continuing with the existing THINK token and community. As discussed, optional paid ThinkOS upgrades are intended to connect back into THINK token economics: buy pressure, staking-wallet distributions, and referral/points mechanics around paid upgrade adoption. The existing THINK holder/staker community remains an important part of the launch base, and there may be future ways to bring Digital Souls and older lore/product components back into the ecosystem in useful ways. Private Alpha For the July private alpha, we are especially interested in a diverse set of teams and users: * non-technical teams that need better AI workflows teams trying to coordinate around shared company context * people already running OpenClaw, Claude-family harnesses, Hermes, Codex, or multiple harnesses against one corpus of data * builders who can help stress-test the assumptions and give practical feedback Good Suggestions From the Room A few strong follow-up ideas came out of the Q&A: * create a public feature/status/progress page * publish more transparent material about migrating Wilbur from OpenClaw into ThinkOS * show what real agent infrastructure looks like in practice: workflows, accounts, scopes, context, migration friction, and what improves in the new harness * create clearer FAQ/website pages around the new direction and August timeline * consider a human AI-engineer / deployed-engineer help marketplace so less technical builders can ask for help from more advanced community members Bottom Line ThinkOS is aiming to make independent AI practical for normal people and teams: local-first, private by default, model-agnostic, context-rich, and built around agents that feel like teammates instead of brittle scripts. More soon as we move toward private alpha.

**TODAY** at 1:30pm PDT in our Discord server (link below) we'll be discussing the status of the ThinkOS build, upcoming partnerships, and how to help us test the private alpha in July. Come join us! We are targeting an August release for the public beta. We are looking especially for non-technical teams that will benefit from a locally hosted, model-agnostic agent harness....one that focuses on data privacy and smart context sharing (which is what we are building). The paradigm of ThinkOS will be different than other harnesses in important ways: First, a concierge agent will help you get ThinkOS setup on your local machine and then spawn your personal AI assistant / chief of staff (CoS). Your CoS will then help you spawn (or connect to) AI CoSs for the companies you work with. You will have a "brain" (memories, context, workflows, etc...) and the companies and other spheres/groups you interact with will also have a brain. These are easily portable and can be interacted with by any harness you and your teams/groups want. Your personal CoS will also help you spawn and literally hire agents to accomplish specific goals / jobs to be done across work and personal projects/hobbies/interests. So, the UX of ThinkOS will feel like "watching" your CoS manage a team of personified Ai Agents accomplish goals, work loops 24/7, discuss important matters with each other, and proactively prompt YOU for things they need, etc... "Programming" these agents will come primarily from natural conversation with them, not by having to navigate complex dashboards, skills libraries, connector lists, etc... You can browse a curated agent (talent!) marketplace if you want, or just have your CoS suggest things for you. We're excited to share more with you today at 1:30pm PDT -- we'll see you in Discord (link below).

Our core team met in Chicago last week, focusing on the UI/UX for ThinkOS. We are creating an AI operating system (harness) that is: * Private * Portable * Local-first * Model-agnostic * Easily-extensible * Context-sharable ...for both technical AND non-technical business operators to easily collaborate with each other and their AI agents. Our goal is to have ThinkOS be the default harness to assist across multiple companies/projects/agents, including personal workflows. This week we have been iterating with our designers and making good progress. Engineering is already far ahead. We are targeting an August release for an early beta. If you'd like to test ThinkOS out in July with us, please join our Discord server (link below) and raise your hand in our "forward-thinking" channel. Most of the non-technical people we've talked to (across many industries and company sizes) are VERY overwhelmed by current open-source harnesses. Those who have managed to find their way into agentic loops/workflows are using Big Tech harnesses, but data privacy and and context sharing remains a serious issue. The technical people we've talked to are often running multiple machines 24/7 with various open-source and Big Tech harnesses working in concert ... but rarely are these workflows smartly integrated with the non-technical people they work with. A company brain doesn't exist. Employees have data scattered everywhere. In many cases, AI is making things WORSE since workflow imbalances between product/engineering, sales/marketing, and ops are getting larger and more chaotic. We are designing ThinkOS to solve these problems. We envision everyone having their own ThinkOS across one or more machines, running whenever/whatever they want, with their own personal AI assistant ("Chief of Staff") coordinating agentic workflows/loops....all easily accessible via a native mobile app while on the go. In addition, everyone's personal chief of staff agent will smartly (and securely) share context with their co-workers' agents, so a company swarm can coordinate with each other....all under the direction of an AI Chief of Staff at the company-level as well. As you can imagine, this is a very challenging product to build at both the engineering and UI/UX levels. We'd welcome your questions/feedback along the way, either here on X or in our Discord server. We'll keep you posted as things progress. Thanks for your support and encouragement 🙏

As desktop & mobile UIs for popular harnesses emerge, there are clear problems (and opportunities!). We are addressing these directly with ThinkOS...a desktop & mobile application (coming soon!) that allows you to completely own/build your own AI....even as a non-technical person....even in complex business settings: (1) Local, private, model-agnostic, uncensored, & independent AI must be encouraged by default. (2) Your thoughts/memories/context shouldn't be fractured across providers. These are yours. Context/permissions can be carefully given to your teams/projects as needed on a peer-to-peer basis. (3) Big Tech seems content to partner with top harnesses as long as centralized API keys/oauths are front and center (it doesn't need to be this way!). (4) Even Big Tech harnesses are too complex for most people, which requires hiring expensive forward-deployed engineers (FDEs) to get your company up to speed. Most companies are falling dangerously behind. (5) ThinkOS aims to DRAMATICALLY simplify the wins for everyday people with private, independent AI across personal and professional projects. Complex connectors/skills/tools/artifacts lose basically everyone except advanced AI architects (hence the need for expensive FDEs). (6) ThinkOS will, of course, allow advanced users to setup complex agentic swarms/teams like other harnesses/frameworks. In addition, we believe our UX will make these easier to manage across multiple models. (7) While Big Tech models will, of course, be optional (like any other model....hence "model-agnostic")...we are designing for local models by default....and leveraging Compiled Intelligence to reduce the need for LLM calls over time.

ThinkOS is a desktop app for working with AI agents across your actual operating context. The premise is simple: AI should not be locked inside one tab, one model, one vendor, or one company's idea of how you work.

The future of personal AI should not be "KYC yourself to a cloud model forever." It should be useful, private, portable, and yours. That's the direction for ThinkOS. Join the THINK community and help shape it: discord.gg/thinkagents

The next step is Compiled Intelligence: Repeated AI work becomes local software over time. 🔹Less inference. 🔹Lower cost. 🔹More privacy. 🔹More determinism. 🔹More sovereignty. AI that learns your workflows, then gives them back to you as code you can run.

If your AI is powerful enough to run your work, it's powerful enough to become a point of control. A future where the best AI tools require government ID is no longer theoretical. The question is simple: Do you own your intelligence, or do you rent it from platforms?
