Met another teacher this week who didn’t know the ad-free YouTube trick so just in case others haven’t heard… put a dash between the ‘t’ and ‘U’ of YouTube and you’ll load up the video without any ads.

@missdcox I’ve been watching some teachers in my school start to create ‘retrieval practice’ resources for their classes and weave them into their teaching plans with some success. The use of interleaving seems to help embed this further.

I don’t think many teachers grasp this. If they did, they would question the concept of ‘revision’ as it’s commonly used. You don’t need ‘revision’ sessions if students learnt it in the first place.

@ShakinthatChalk @ASBOTeacher @effortfuleduktr Actually, that is the only thing I think we should be teaching for. If students can't recall something we have taught from their memory, then our teaching has been a complete waste of time.
