@StockSavvyShay This is the traffic on Feb 27. 15 is about 11.5% of pre-war traffic. However, this is almost exclusively controlled by Iran as the ships are sailing through the Aya-TOLL-ah Booth and not the center of the Strait.

A lot of people are dunking on this, and it’s true, she should have paid the $60 per month for 20 years and let the forgiveness kick in. But what they’re missing is that she was loaned $65k for a terminal master’s in historic preservation. That should never have happened. Tuition has skyrocketed because the ability of students to pay it has completely decoupled from how much money they or their families can afford. Colleges charge infinity dollars because students have access to infinity student loans. In many cases students hoping a credential will lead to a better life get duped into indenturing themselves permanently to get worthless terminal master’s degrees. If the loans didn’t exist, then the master’s programs wouldn’t exist, and if the master’s programs didn’t exist then employers wouldn’t be looking for job applicants with master’s degrees which don’t even connote any real skills. Burn this whole rotten system down.

When I was on the Air Wing 11 staff onboard USS Carl Vinson, we had a helicopter divert to San Diego while we were off the coast of SoCal, when low fog at night shut down the carrier flight deck. Folks up the Chain of Command on the Admiral's staff kept asking CAG (the Air Wing Commander, an O-6): When will the helo get back? His (basic) answer: when the pilot-in-command decides it's safe to do so... I'm not climbing into somebody else's cockpit from 60 miles away. They're Naval Aviators. My respect for CAG, which was already high at that point, went up a notch that night.

Although today might feel like a tough day, let's keep some perspective. This was the first F-15 reportedly shot down by Iran after more than 12000 US combat sorties in Operation Epic Fury. Our A-10s and SH-60 Seahawks flew low and aggressive on Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) for the downed pilot, and they got him home safely. Would you rather lose one aircraft or lose the pilot? Our military is hands-down the greatest fighting force on the planet. Have faith in them. Video is from a prior mission, not related to todays events.

I’m not defending Tiger Woods, his accident was clearly his fault & he deserves to be held accountable, but based on this version of the body cam footage of his arrest, it sure seems like a non celebrity might’ve not been charged with a DUI. He seems not as out of it as expected.

Every red state should pass waiting periods on voter registration. You show up and register, go through a ten-day waiting period, then show up again to complete the registration. After all, voter registration rules merely "regulate conduct that occurs before a person" gets to vote. So sick of this bad-faith bullshit they'd never allow for any other right.
