Here my Longcovid story in english version 💙 My name is Selina, since my Covid infection in June 2022 at the age of 28 with no previous illness, I have been bed bound for 23 hours and have since been suffering from something that is very generally called Longcovid, which is an umbrella term for very many possible symptoms following a Covid infection. If the immune system is affected, one suffers from whole body symptoms. Which understandably leads to a very low quality of life. I cannot stand or sit for more than 10 minutes and cannot speak more than a maximum of 3 sentences, even after 14 months of illness. I have severe physical and mental exhaustion, which must be understood as such that one can then no longer move. So we are clearly not talking about fatigue here. The body burns, I can neither eat nor drink what I want, because my body reacts quickly with panic attacks, nausea and shortness of breath due to food. I can't tolerate bright lights and noises and generally too many stimuli at once hurt me. I have lost everything due to covid infection, my home, my job, my partner, my savings. I can no longer leave the house due to my many symptoms and I am not an isolated case. There is a lack of understanding, care, research funds and targeted treatment through medications.
