#FinalTweets Indy500 - It was obvious after Texas last year and this race also shows just how great of a show Indycar is on superspeedways. The talent level of this series is far superior than it has been in the recent past. Even as wild as this race was, the show was awesome and produced a fantastic finish. The triple crown or whatever isn’t going to make any difference in ratings or attendance. However just simply having a spring, summer and fall Superspeedway provides an incredible balance to a diverse schedule which creates storylines. And it’s those storylines which drive interest and ratings. The pack racing is gone with this current aero package and Indycar should seriously look at bringing Texas, Pocono and Michigan back into the fold. There will be immediate responses about fans in the seats and the inherent danger of ovals, but there has to be investment into the product which might mean semi empty stands to start.
