@KRHornberger The same goes for CompChem. Most likely the type of simulations/calculation will be very different in industry, but it’s the problem solving skills and translating those to new systems and methods that counts the most.

Med chem early career tip: pitch your problem solving skills. Show how you tackled a problem — emphasis on how. Thought process, experimental attack, insight all matter. The specific chemistry, less so — chances are low you’ll be doing chemistry like that in industry anyway.
