@thisisnotmark Some of the allure of eating from a food truck is that it is novel. It is usually close to carnival food and something you shouldn’t eat on a weekly basis. It would be interesting to see how many food trucks actually can make the conversion to restaurant

@tweetknowledge @FlipnPatties is one that stands out for me in Houston. I know Austin has some. One that I wish them luck, but didn’t look good for them is a grilled cheese place at the Memorial City Mall food court. Don’t see too many people going there.

NEW: Texas officer investigating a fire on private property shoots a dog after being attacked Last Friday, Arp Police Officer Pereida responded to a large fire behind a residence. While approaching the fence line to check if the home was in danger, two dogs crawled under the fence and attempted to attack him. The officer fired two shots from his service pistol, striking one dog. The injured dog fled, and the second dog continued to approach. Bodycam footage was activated after the shots and shows part of the encounter. The dog’s owner later told the chief that “everyone around here knows my dogs will bite” and that the officer should have taken a bite instead of shooting. Chief Joe Keegan reviewed the footage and ruled the officer’s actions legal and appropriate. The dog ultimately required euthanasia.

My sister down in Texas sent me a video from her favorite BBQ restaurant. She's in there acting like Texas invented ribs, and I'm just over here smiling, because she can laugh all she wants-but Indiana beef ribs are no joke.
