I love both Elixir + JS ❤️ I think you can build great apps by leveraging both. Here's an app that has real-time syncing using Phoenix/LiveView while having zero latency drag n' drop + offline support thanks to Svelte, service workers, and CRDTs. liveview-svelte-pwa.fly.dev #MyElixirStatus @SvelteSociety #LocalFirst

Apparently, server-side frameworks are not allowed to have client state (which most apps have, since forms are client state) nor do DOM manipulations, even if you have abstractions for syncing them. This makes as much sense as me asking most SPAs out there to not use a server.

@grv_pt Haha, exactly! 😄 But hey, maybe it’s a sign that the community believes Phoenix has a solid frontend solution with LiveView!

📍Want *background* geolocation in PWAs? Help make it happen by taking the State of HTML survey! In the 'Native-like Web Apps' section, list 'lack of background geolocation' as a pain point. Browser vendors use this survey to prioritize new features. survey.devographics.com/en-US/survey/s…

I just updated to the latest Phoenix adapter for Inertia—no issues so far. It even fixed two previous bugs I had! 😃 Haven’t upgraded to Inertia 2.0 client side yet, still waiting for the Svelte adapter to stabilize, but excited for encrypted browsing history and TS support. 💪
