@mwmoedinger I got the pleasure of listening to a fellow passengers movie on a 3.5 hr 8pm flight from San Diego to Minneapolis last night.

I think there is a direct connection between the huge increase in people listening to video, music, calls etc on speaker in public places and the elimination of the 3.5mm jack on phones. I'm sitting at a train station and there are 5 people (of all different ages) around me constantly increasing the volume on their devices in a sort of cacophonous arms race. Miserable for everyone, and incredibly anti-social and selfish behavior.
