Gas prices at the pump are much higher than they need to be based upon the price of oil.

Am I the only one who still views minimum wage as gas money for your car and movie tickets for you and your date while you gain work experience in high school or at the bookstore in college?

$7.25 an hour is about $14,000 a year. No one can survive on that. People can barely survive on double that. We raised the minimum wage in Illinois. It's long overdue everywhere else.

In prior times when oil was around $100 a barrel, gas prices were about $3.50 per gallon. We are being gouged by retailers big time!

I’m at the Rays game and I see a large sign that says “Black History Matters.” African American players make up about 6% of Major League Baseball. The contrast feels striking. I don’t see any signs here that say “White History Matters.” How about we focus on “American History Matters” instead?
