The Skin stapler will be taking part in this year's Tiny Teams Steam event, and it just so happens that it starts on the same day the game launches! Been trying to get one of my games in this event for a couple of years now, and it finally happened 🤘😈🤘

@TaintedPact First of all, I wanted to say that I love your games and I'm extremely hyped for the release of The Skin Stapler. I wanted to ask if we'll have a custom Steam profile for the game to buy with Steam points ? I'd love to use a profile that's completely themed around the new game.

Steam’s new personal calendar widget is no joke. The Skin Stapler has gotten thousands of new wishlist in the last couple of days. Indie devs don't sleep on this new feature. It an absolute killer tool for your game leading up to release. #indiegamedev #indiegame

@magicwoodlabs Still about 10 days out from launch, but I would imagine the last week before launch will have the biggest impact cause it will be on Steam's front page for the calendar.

@puccinogames I usually don't launch a Steam page until I have a demo and trailer ready. Then I just drop everything at once for one big push

@TaintedPact All of that is normal release things that existed before the personalized calendars. So nothing has changed.

@HackDotSlash @EnoughOfAllThat It's still entirely possible to show up on it without 7k. Just make sure you pick a release date with very few games coming out. The fewer games Steam has to pick from for that date, the better it is for you.

That's not entirely true. Your game needs to hit the baseline metrics for Steam's algorithm to care. Especially if you pick a release date that has a lot of games coming out on it. And as I said in another comment, there are things you can do to optimize your appearance on the calendar.

@TaintedPact not sure why you say don't sleep on this feature. your game is automatically added to personal calendars. you don't have to do anything

Make sure your Steam page is updated with fresh capsule art before it starts showing up, and make sure you have enough wishlists to qualify for it. 7k is the minimum from what I heard, and the most important thing is to make sure your game's tags are optimized to cast the widest net possible.

@TaintedPact How do I not sleep on it? I thought Steam makes this calendar for users automatically. Is there something you can do to make sure you end up on people's calendars?

Woke up and saw that Steam approved The Skin Stapler game build on the first submission! Very few things feel as cool as seeing those triple green-approved banners and the green "Release App" button.
