Hybrid profile risk: In endurance sessions, Prescribed the same workout as endurance profiles. In speed sessions, Prescribed the same workout as speed profiles. Both cases add more than needed. twitter.com/thomasniner/st…

@Gareth_Sandford Can you elaborate on the downfall.. is this lack of direction or 'master-of-none' type situation?

@DrMarkBurnley Are there any key differences in the effect of a 6min effort above lactate threshold 12 mins prior and a 200m race pace primer at 800m race pace 20 mins prior? Are they both achieving the same end goal on Vo2 kinetics?

@ingham_steve @Gareth_Sandford @AndyBeetroot @IJSPPjournal Physiological maths in practice. Allow enough time for the reconstitution of anaerobic speed reserve (at least 10 min) but not too long so you don’t lose the ‘priming’ effect (vasodilation and mitochondrial chemistry). Window is likely up to 20 or even 30 min.

@nickwillis Can't find any information about this New Balance spike. Other than the athletes running fast on global stages they've kept it rather secret!

OK, I'm a believer in the new spike tech. Ran 2 seconds faster than expected for a time-trial tonight. Wore the NB version that everyone has been tearing it up in.
