The Apple MacBook Neo doing very well, in Singapore, only available for in-store pickup 14 April 2026. Apple might've just hit a goldmine in terms of expanding the user base (because let's be honest, once you're in the Apple ecosystem, you're unlikely to exit).

I traveled to Korea, China and Vietnam recently. In every of those countries, people looked surprised when I told them I live in Cambodia. I know the word "dangerous" now in many languages...

District governor's son allegedly drove drunk, hit a teenager, told bystanders "if the kid dies, pay $20,000 and that settles it" Samin Vuttharith, a Kongmeas district official and son of the district governor in Kampong Cham, reportedly drove drunk and hit a teenager on a motorbike in Phnom Penh's Russey Keo district on the night of March 18. The boy is in critical condition at Kantha Bopha. His family says they don't know if he'll survive. Bystanders beat the district governor's son badly enough to crack his head open after the alleged comment. Police told a different story. According to Phnom Penh police, the car occupants themselves told officers a woman was driving and Samin Vuttharith was just a drunk passenger. Multiple other accounts say he was behind the wheel. The boy's family is poor. They're appealing to the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Justice, saying the other side is powerful and well-connected. And this is how these cases usually go in Cambodia. Compensation gets offered, the family is under pressure to accept, and nobody sees a courtroom. But paying off a family doesn't replace accountability. Drunk driving that puts a kid in critical condition should mean prison time, full stop! Connections shouldn't change that.

Cambodia says it’ll shut down all scam centers by end of April. They’ve hit 200 of 250 known locations since July. But as Jacob Sims noted, past crackdowns have left the financial and protection networks intact, allowing operations to quickly reappear. Meanwhile, Poipet sits largely untouched. kiripost.com/stories/cambod…

When I got a fever last Monday, I thought it was a cold. Then this extreme burning in my stomach started. Thanks to meds, that burning are is more or less under control. But hey, I seldom had so little power like in these last days. I’m happy to be at home and able to sleep.

BANGKOK — 5 March 2026 France-based political dissident Jaran Ditapichai posted on Facebook on Wednesday night, Bangkok time, that Thai political dissident Boy Thanapipat who sought asylum in France because he said he was harassed by the Thai military was turned down by the French government. “His asylum request was unsuccessful, so he decided to return to Thailand. He arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport on 5 February. Under French government policy, his airfare was covered and he was given a small amount of pocket money. Officials from the refugee agency accompanied him through immigration procedures up to the gate for his Qatar Airways flight. “Upon arrival in Thailand, he reported to immigration authorities. Immigration officers then took him to court, where it was found that there was another arrest warrant outstanding against him. The court denied him bail. He is currently detained at Samut Sakhon Prison and has applied for bail three times. I ask the court to grant him bail.” (Photo from Jaran Ditapichai FB.) #Thailand #France
