2 hours on a train from Liverpool to London trying to use a laptop via personal hotspot.
I have two numbers on different networks - a uk one and a Swedish one roaming; mobile data switching is on.
It’s absolutely hopeless.
The mobile data network in this country is pitiful.

Way to spin the worst box office bomb in 23 years with absolute and utter lies. In 2018, the Amazing China documentary pulled in $14.6 million opening weekend. The Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (2024) tour documentary grossed $93 million in its opening weekend in 2023. The only record this movie is breaking is the biggest box office bomb since 2003 (Gigli), as it's on pace to lose at least $60 million dollars. $8 million is an extremely weak opening, and expected gross of $20 million is even with worse for documentaries. Fahrenheit 9/11 cost $2 million and earned $223 million. March of the Penguins made $134 million. Grand Canyon: Hidden Secrets made $239 million!

@dobssi Before Covid we probably never gave much thought to people having colds all around us in autumn/winter, as it was the norm. Covid raised awareness and made everyone fearful.

Why is my timeline full of people saying all are sick around them and its due to the pandemic?
Everything seems normal for autumn to me. A few colds going around, the odd person having a bad one but generally as it always was.
In fact its felt that way for at least 2 years.

No doubt whatsoever that we lost a huge amount of intensity in the second half. If Mateta scores the chance, it’s probably a different outcome entirely but that’s the game.

I managed to find a couple more pairs of these ‘pre-carbon’ era Nike’s recently. I did a bunch of PB’s in them back pre-pandemic.
Used them for last week’s Lidingöloppet 30k forest terrain race. Was back running after 2 days off, and unusually for me, barely any toenail issues.

This is absurd. I’ve worn various carbon plated shoes but not ever putting those on my feet.

I think he means atheists can agree we are a type of ape, with dna shared with chimpanzees, say, from 100,000 years ago, but can’t see that our culture (laws/morality) owes anything to our 2,000 years of bible-based Christianity

@dobssi @Padraiccleary Absolutely when we lived there, couldn’t get reception if you set foot on the beach. Marginally better on beach in Worthing. Never really noticed any of the so-called massive speed benefits of jump from 3g to 4g to 5g supposedly 1,000 times faster or something

Worst mobile service ever, in that place. Every single visit.

The mobile network in London is simply not fit for service.
I have 2 numbers. Vodafone UK and my Swedish 3 on roaming. It’s not possible to sustain a call consistently via either or via WhatsApp.
Been like this a few years. Utter shambles.
