Strange how Channel 4 showed the Arlington Million live, but didn't do Ripon as a double header with Sandown, like ITV did. On ch 4 it was Variety Club Day. Nowadays, it's Dino Days, Ladies Days and pop concerts. In those days, showbiz A listers went racing!!
