@thrashdeep @ThePrimeagen Tell me a Ukrainian that is more intelligent then? Please give an example.
English

I like hearing from Lex.
Joni Askola@joni_askola
One idiot we are happy not to hear from anymore
English

@ThePrimeagen He has some of the most intelligent interviews and conversations and asks the tough questions. Most people who don't like him don't have the intelligence to understand the topics he covers.
English

@PeorgeyGeorgey @buildwithhassan @ThePrimeagen Lex is a russia leaning podcaster who showed his complete incompetence during interview with Zelenskyy.
English

@buildwithhassan @ThePrimeagen I went through his posts.. he's basically a gung ho ukraine war uber alles poster. And I guess Lex wasn't pure of faith enough for him.

At some point, there was a cultural development where we began calling the requirement of skill "gatekeeping", and the appreciation of the skill "elitism", and I vote we stop doing this immediately.

Software used to be gated by roughly 20 million professional developers up until last year. Good ideas still needed engineers, co-founders, time, and months of app work. Now, anyone can build. ~ Wabi CEO Eugenia Kuyda

Trump not sending enough direct military aid to Ukraine (Obama sent nothing, despite the Crimean takeover, btw) is bad and probably pro-Putin. Trump selling weapons to the Europeans to transfer to Ukraine is also pro-Putin (but the Europeans continuing to buy Russian hydrocarbons is fine). Trump wanting a higher defense budget is, uh, pro-Putin. And Trump going after Putin ally Iran, which deploys suicide drones against Ukraine, is also somehow pro-Putin. And, as a catch-all, Trump is actually a dictator of convenience (query what a dictatorship of inconvenience is?).
I just can’t with these people anymore. They need a couch.
Timothy Snyder@TimothyDSnyder
Why does Trump want to increase the defense budget by almost 50%? Because he sees it as a payoff to the guys who will help him establish his dictatorship of convenience.

@generalmisogyny @iamNeare I see you like that authoritarian dick inside your mouth
English

No country is beating any country that is run by Engineers, Mathematicians and Philosophers. China, Iran, Russia likely. But if you want to weaken your country considerably, give them to lawyers and finance people to run. They will surely derivative your country away.@iamNeare

How do you produce 10,000 kamikaze drones a day? Easy: automation.

@KareemRifai @DrewPavlou I hate all Hasan politics pretty much but I consider it Russia bc that’s what it was when I learned geography . Plus they need access
to that warm water port and the ppl prefer Russia that live there
English

You see, I lived through all these pre-war years in the Russophone space. And I remember the general vibe of imbecile bully smugness (we are stronger & do whatever we want). Look at white housers, and you will see what I mean
Fundamentally, yes, it's primarily Russia's fault
Art@ArtMaxKo
@kamilkazani Ah, again it’s all Putin fault
English

@thrashdeep @kamilkazani Thing is, it doesn’t matter much to me how Ukrainians take this information, or how I look to them, but it matters a lot to you how others see you. Anyone who’s grown up around both people will tell you that there isn’t much of a difference. A war doesn’t really change that.
English

@Philenose @kamilkazani Your statements are just typical Western style bs, they are partially true in a superficial context like food, shared linguistic heritage, corruption, but deeply wrong regarding mentality and approach to life. Stop doing that, you are looking like an idiot to Ukrainians.
English

@thrashdeep @kamilkazani The mannerisms, speech, mentality, psychological complexes, and approach to life between a typical Ukrainian and Russian are very similar. The fact that they inhabit mutually hostile polities doesn’t change that.

@OSedlar @OlympusMons99 @TheGloriousLion no, you can't, because you make lots of assumptions that you are not able to ensure: like NATO still being a thing, the readiness of the finnish troops to wage a modern drone war, the amount of required supplies, etc, etc
English

@thrashdeep @OlympusMons99 @TheGloriousLion You can, because they withdrew most of their forces from the border when Finland joined NATO.
Unless they want to start losing in Ukraine, they cant open a second front, especially not with Finland.
English

Russia has tried to conquer Ukraine for four years now.
I am unsure they would fare any better in a confrontation with the rest of Europe (i.e. NATO sans the US).
Optimal scenario: NATO is dissolved and replaced by a European defence union (not necessarily limited to EU members).
David D. Chapman@DavidD_Chapman
Withdraw from NATO and withdraw all US troops from US bases in Europe and see how many days it takes Russia to conquer Europe.
English

@TheGloriousLion Russia took 2 years to conquer a scrawny village called Pokrosvk in the middle of nowhere.
They couldn't take Finland let alone Europe....
