yeah nah man that’s not how that works at all lmfaoo trading is 1099, so it’s not based on just net profit you can only take $3000 in loss off of your taxes without writeoffs, and the only other option would to have the remaining loss put into the next years return, which would make him more fucked

I did $250k in prop firm payouts in 2025 but spent $230k on evals and resets. I have a paid mentorship too.
