They’ll show up, admit what they did, and actually try to fix it. But if they care more about protecting their image than acknowledging your pain, that’s not love that’s ego. And if calling them out makes them defensive instead of remorseful, believe what you’re seeing. Leave. Protect your peace like your life depends on it because sometimes it really does.
