Better Days Ahead 👨‍🔧👨‍🔧
One of my female colleagues started her period unexpectedly at work and bled through onto an office chair. She was clearly mortified when she told me. I quietly got the cleaning supplies, handled the chair myself without making a scene, handed her my jacket to tie around her waist, made sure she had pads, and helped her sort out a change of clothes. No jokes. No disgust. Just made sure she was okay and could finish her day comfortably. Small things like that matter 🥹

So I got my period at work today with absolutely no warning and went around asking all the women in the office if anyone had anything and nobody had a single thing. One of the guys overheard me and said he had pads in his car because he keeps them there for his girlfriend for emergencies. And then he went out to his car and came back and handed me a pastry bag. This man had put the pads inside a pastry bag so nobody would know what was in it. To save me the awkwardness of walking through the office visibly carrying pads. He thought about that. On his own. And it wasn't just one, he gave me two because I had an eight hour shift and he did that math himself apparently. I was not prepared for......

I have been using my Nigerian phone numbers (+234) since I relocated to Austria many years ago. This is my usual practice, even when I visited Nigeria recently. I recharge NGN1,000 every six months and then call a family member using that amount. My phone number remains active. Alternatively, you can use MTN or Airtel to keep your number active. MTN allows you to pay a small fee to keep your line active for up to 3 years, even if you don't use it. 1 Year: Dial *305*1# (costs ₦400) 2 Years: Dial *305*2# (costs ₦800) 3 Years: Dial *305*3# (costs ₦1,200) 2. AIRTEL Airtel protects your line from disconnection for up to 1 year. 1 Year: Dial *121*5*2# (costs ₦500) Hope this helps!

Those of you in abroad but still using +234 number, can you explain to me how it works?

Negara lagi krisis, warganya jumpalitan buat survive, eh presidennya malah minta ulang tahunnya dirayain meriah. Kejadian seabsurd ini pernah terjadi di Iraq semasa pemerintahan Saddam Hussein & The President's Cake memotretnya ke dalam tontonan coming of age seru juga pilu memakai POV seorang bocah SD yatim piatu dari desa yg terpaksa jelajahi kota bersama sang nenek untuk nyari bahan bikin kue buat hari ultah pak presiden. Ditengah situasi mencekam dimana suara pesawat tempur sering berseliweran, karya perdana Hasan Hadi ini terasa jenaka di awal berkat kepolosan & rasa ingin tahu si protagonis yg selama ini terkungkung di rumah pinggir sungai bersama sang nenek. Dia pernah nanya, "kamu Allah ya?" ke pak pos yg menolongnya. Namun seiring berjalannya durasi, saat si bocil mulai sering melihat realita getir di negaranya yg amburadul, hatiku pun mencelos sekalipun petualangan mencari bahan kuenya dikemas energik. Bagus!

Stretch marks are not a skin condition that needs fixing. It just means your skin stretched faster than it could keep up with, because of things like pregnancy, weight changes, or even normal body growth. There’s nothing to be ashamed of, or even to shame people for.

Cancer has taken so much from my sister, but it hasn’t taken her hope. She’s still fighting, still smiling through the hard days, and still believing she can beat this. Please help us keep her treatment going by sharing her story and donating if you can. For direct transfer 0247265533 GTB: Duke, Margaret Bassey Nothing is too small. 🙏🏾🙏🏾

@confi_o I have another opinion i want to drop until i read your conversation with her. Any brand that has ‘ No refund policy’ on their bio is a red flag. Any brand that also dont refund , is also a red flag There should be terms guiding refunds. Report the brand to fccpc

With a heavy heart, I’m asking for help. My wife gave birth through an emergency CS, and we honestly were not prepared for the expenses. Mother and baby are safe, but the hospital bill is over ₦600,000, and they are due for discharge. Please, any support from kind-hearted people will mean a lot to us. No amount is too small. God bless everyone who helps, prays, or shares.

Saw a patient today with a hemoglobin of 1.9 g/dL. For context, a level that low is almost incompatible with normal consciousness, but she walked right into the clinic on her own feet. For three long years, she lived with crushing weakness and since last 6 months breathlessness from just walking across a room. Why didn’t she get help sooner? At first, it was because the kids had crucial school exams and later her husband was reluctant to deal with the hassle of a hospital admission. Her health was treated as a background inconvenience. When we dug deeper, it got worse. A year ago, her Hb was 6.4 g/dL. A doctor explicitly told them she needed immediate admission. The family refused, walked out with a basic strip of iron tablets, she took them for two weeks, forgot about them, and nobody in the house ever bothered to check on her or remind her. She didn't even come to the hospital today because of the air hunger. She came because her periods had completely stopped for months. Her body was so profoundly starved of iron and oxygen that it literally shut down her reproductive axis just to divert what little blood she had left to her heart and brain. It’s completely heartbreaking. A woman will literally bleed her body dry, gasp for air for years and keep working silently, only to be brought to a doctor when her normal functioning stops. Please check on the women in your homes. Stop letting them normalize chronic exhaustion.

What happened at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital yesterday is a national disgrace and must not be treated lightly! Calling on @officialEFCC to promote lawful conduct; to publicly call the officers involved in the act to order, @Fmohnigeria @nighealthwatch to protect our healthcare system, and the presidency @NGRPresident and @NGRSenate to look into this, so this doesn’t happen to any healthcare worker again. @UN @WHO @WHONigeria @UNICEF_Nigeria Justice must prevail. Say NO TO VIOLENCE AGAINST MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS. Enough is Enough.

“I am not going away, I will be with you till the day breaks. -PO” Since the 2023 elections, Peter Obi has remained one of the most visible and accessible political figures in Nigeria. From TV interviews to podcasts, town halls and social media engagements, he has continued to speak directly to Nigerians, address national issues and answer questions openly. In a country where many leaders become distant after elections, that level of accessibility stands out. Nigerians have long wanted a president who communicates with the people, explains policies, speaks up during difficult moments and is open to scrutiny. People want to be connected to, not hidden from their leader. Obi’s consistent engagement since 2023 has shown many Nigerians a leadership style built on openness, accountability and constant communication with the citizens. His 60 minutes interview with @NewsCentralTV is one to look forward to. #NigeriaWillBeOk

Everyone shut up I just learned a new word: Eremition (eh-ruh-mish-un) The act of gradually fading from the lives of others, not out of malice, but a desire for solitude or renewal.
