@MarioNawfal She managed to live past prime reproductive age so this is no threat to the theory. 😆

🇺🇸 Look at this reporter's survival instincts while hearing gunshots outside the White House
This scene should be enough to disprove Darwin’s theory altogether.

@HeidiBachram And if they *really* believed there was a "genocide" going on and they had just failed miserably to liberate the victims I don't think they would be laughing and joking around in celebration. It's all a grift. Disgusting people.

@exQUIZitely Never played the original but my god, played the shit out of IK+. WHAT A GAME.

Who was a fan of this 80s classic?
International Karate Plus (often just called IK+) was the sequel to the 1986 hit International Karate. Once again, Archer Maclean was behind another masterpiece from the golden era of 80s fighting games, a whole decade heavily influenced by popular martial arts movies - which in return gave us some of those timeless classic games.
The three-player mode was an interesting twist on the standard 1v1 fights. It often led to hilarious 2v1 gang-ups when playing with friends. As always with Archer Maclean’s games, the music and graphics were excellent, the controls were tight, and the gameplay was simple but very addictive.
I’m always torn between the original from 1986 and this sequel from 1988; I just can’t decide which is better.
So, one point each - FIGHT!!

@MOSSADil It's so clear that they don't *really* believe their own "genocide" bullshit. They KNOW it's a lie. Imagine activists like this attempting to liberate Jews from Auschwitz. Would they be laughing, dancing, joking and high-fiving like this? I think not. Fuck these people.

@IhabHassane How many of these people cheered as hostages were dragged back on Oct 7th? How many of them took part in Oct 7th? How many of them would take part in another Oct 7th if given half a chance? No sympathy.

@MuseumCommodore Yup my first ever computer. Loved that thing.

@LundukeJournal This is probably how they grab the Linux gaming market. They can allow proprietary kernel level anticheat binaries and bob's yer uncle.

@MuseumCommodore Man these were the kind of creative genres that made the Amiga great. I was never into platfomers or puzzle games which seemed to dominate at the time. So much variety to enjoy on the Amiga. Reminds me of APB, what a fun game!

One of the biggest cop shows of all time, Hill Street Blues was also adapted into a Commodore Amiga game.
The Amiga game was a complex police-management sim where you played Captain Frank Furillo, overseeing the gritty Hill Street precinct.
You managed officers and responded to crimes in a simulated city with day-and-night cycles. You investigated cases, allocated resources, and tried to keep crime rates down while balancing public opinion and department morale. It mixed strategy and resource management with a few adventure elements like clue-hunting.
Hill Street Blues ran for seven seasons (1981–1987) and won tons of Emmys. It’s often credited with pioneering the gritty, ensemble cop-procedural style that influenced everything from NYPD Blue to The Wire.
Did you think the game lived up to the TV series?

@exQUIZitely ... Ron Gilbert is famously on record stating that their only order from the powers that be was "don't lose any money."
English

@exQUIZitely This has been addressed in countless documentaries and dev interviews. The company was started off as a bit of fun. The Star Wars IP was licensed out to major studios for big money so that LucasArts could concentrate on new, original, creative, fun IPs with no pressure.

Am I the only one wondering about this?
One of the biggest mysteries to me will always be how a giant like LucasArts - with such a successful track record in the adventure game genre - never made a Star Wars-based adventure game. It feels like one of the lowest-hanging fruits ever: a match made in heaven.
They held the rights to one of the biggest movie franchises in history while being one of the most respected and powerful studios in gaming, yet no proper Star Wars-themed adventure was ever made. (I don’t count Star Wars: Yoda Stories as a full-fledged game.)
LucasArts Adventure Games through the years:
Labyrinth (1986)
Maniac Mansion (1987)
Zak McKracken (1988)
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)
Loom (1990)
The Secret of Monkey Island (1990)
Monkey Island 2 (1991)
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (1992)
Day of the Tentacle (1993)
Sam & Max Hit the Road (1993)
Full Throttle (1995)
The Dig (1995)
The Curse of Monkey Island (1997)
Grim Fandango (1998)
Escape from Monkey Island (2000)
