@Jay_D_Rosehill Well… it would seem both Pelley and Simmons spoke to 20+ people each and there was zero overlap 😜🙄… or someone is not being truthful?… or the cloud of arrogance from 67 ish onward is still blinding people in this organization…. Simmons isn’t popular but he does get info!

@CarloColaiacovo They were paid before even doing something of substance as a team… that had to change. Apathy is growing… Entitled and…Soft mentally and physically. Unwatchable team

@JDBunkis This year I took 2 “Sabbaticals” once in the doldrums of late October to November and the other after the first 3 games post Olympics… Fan since 72 so I know I can’t drop them… So Sabbatical it is, just like 2013-2015… They have become just as unwatchable… & Soft!

@MapleLeafs The growing apathy is rooted in the seeds of arrogance that have sprinkled around since 68. This is not that storied a franchise, way more misses than hits in close to 50 years… It’s time for some humility and doing the right things to build a team worth watching!

@reporterchris Those foundational pieces do not have the trust of the fan base for obvious reasons… The disconnects that everyone speaks about from layer to layer, are caused by organizational arrogance from an Org that has way more failures than success blips over the last 60 years.

When asked what went wrong for the #leafs this season, Keith Pelley says "we didn't see the train coming" in reference to the Montreal Canadiens and Buffalo Sabres.

@reporterchris The core players, Pelley losely referred to, have been infected by the continued arrogance this organization has conducted itself with since 67…It is not The Storied Franchise…It has only had blips of success amidst the regular failures we have seen for 60 years. Not impressed

@HayesTSN He also basically stated that 34 and 88 need to be built around… without saying their names specifically. The fans Do Not believe that this core should get another chance. The arrogance of this org written about in the book 67 still permeates through everything today.

Thoughts on Pelley presser: 1) they still don’t have a vision. No firm hired, no hierarchy determined. Doesn’t mean they won’t get this right, but they’re winging it right now. 2) Pelley just told the prospective GM’s he doesn’t want to hear about scorched earth rebuild.

@JDBunkis They had their chance… many chances. I read 67 and the arrogance written about in that book still lingers big time… why?… That’s the key question The @MapleLeafs are not the most storied franchise… they need to accept that, since 67 they have had only blips of success!

@RealKyper @jtbourne your last guest on Monday (just catching up) @RealKevinZegers was bang on… most Knowledgeable Leaf/Hockey fans have known for a while… can’t win with those guys… Game 5 and Game 7 in Spring 2025 should have been the last straw. It’s over & obvious.

@SamAMcKee The Best way to take care of players like Gudas is to take them out and good… they only respond to kill or be killed mentality… that’s the only way they “calm down “… or… heavily threaten the top player on his team

I’m really sick of this narrative it’s so hard to play for the #Leafs. What garbage. They trot 2 or 3 guys into an empty locker room at every morning skate and game I’ve been at there to talk 2 or 3 mins and that’s it. It’s the most media-sheltered hockey team I’ve ever seen.
