I don't care whether Julius Malema goes to jail or not. I understand that the rich & politically-connected are given special treatment by the courts... ...what saddens me is that poor ppl & ordinary citizens - who are abused by the courts - also expect their favourite elites to get special treatment. I hate that the legal system is not fair & just at all... this is how mafias are born. This is what leads to people taking the law into their own hands.

Sending Malema to jail will have 10 times consequences than when Jacob Zuma was arrested. They asked him what will happen if you go to jail, what will your members do and he said they are law abiding citizens. South Africa would be upside down, worse than it is already!

MEDIA RELEASE BY KENNY KUNENE 26 March 2026 BRING IT ON, JULIUS MALEMA In response to a lawsuit filed against me by EFF leader Julius Malema, I have filed an answering affidavit in which I have attached affidavits by key witnesses. In his lawsuit, triggered by the interview I had on "Podcast and Chill with MacG", Malema claims I defamed him, including by referring to him as "a boy", a term he claims is racist. He also claims I defamed him by saying he lives in the backroom of Adriano Mazzotti. Malema also takes issue with references to his relationship with Jotham “Mswazi” Msibi. It is a matter of public record that Malema attended and spoke at Mr Msibi’s funeral. These allegations have been presented to the extent I deem necessary in my affidavit. Malema further demands that I make a public apology and pay damages of R 1 million. I want to put it on record that I have no intention of apologising to Mr Malema. I will defend myself in court and will present evidence in support of my position. I must indicate that this is the third time Malema files a lawsuit against me. I view this as nothing but shameless abuse of our courts by someone who thinks he is the only one entitled to our hard-earned freedom of expression. I look forward to having my day in court.
